GLCraig replied to Flowmastered87GL's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center

Is it what I think it is? -
Need a co driver?

I'm guessing you have a sedan with this answer. Sometimes the sealant used between the taillights and body will dry out and crack. Allowing water to get in.

That may have been a better way to go, considering it took an hour to get across Hoover Damn.

This is the route I took on the return trip. It's a better drive going this way. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=I-17+S&daddr=33.782572,-112.131958+to:W+12th+St+to:US-97+N+to:I-5+N&hl=en&geocode=FV6g_gEdFFlR-Q%3B%3BFQIoeQIdUo_Q-A%3BFRyohAIdLo-9-A%3BFUB3vwIdAQ6t-A&mra=dpe&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz=10&via=1,2,3&sll=33.702635,-112.447815&sspn=0.794015,1.783905&ie=UTF8&ll=41.376809,-121.245117&spn=22.875689,57.084961&z=5

I'm on they way home now. I'm staying tonight in Vegas then I'm driving to Klamath Falls in the morning, that's going to be one long stretch.
-
Well I'm one day into the trip and all is well.
-
I will not be back from Phoenix by then.

If you O2 sensor is indeed bad, your fuel mixture is going to get really rich and that second cat is not meant to see that much unburnt fuel. This can cause the cat to get too hot and melt or break apart. If changing the O2 sensor dose not make a significant improvement, you next step should be inspecting that second cat.

Well don't hold back on the details of your plans, inquiring minds want to know.

I'm leaving on the 24th for Phoenix. Anyone down there I should drop in and say hi to? Here's the route I'm taking. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=I-5+S&daddr=Aultman+St+to:33.450296,-112.0706&hl=en&geocode=FZh4vwIdOgyt-A%3BFRrxVgIdohUn-Q%3B&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=2&sz=17&via=1&sll=33.450305,-112.070289&sspn=0.006221,0.013937&ie=UTF8&ll=33.47899,-112.022095&spn=0.398041,0.891953&z=11

EA 82 MPFI with no knock sensor
GLCraig replied to Duraznov's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
If I remember right only the MPFI turbo EA82s had the knock sensor. -
They did exist at one time but finding one from an importer will be a challenge.
-
You would be better off finding someone who can make you an adapter plate, to mate the EJ33 to your existing transmission.
-
The front wheel bearings are the same for EA81 and EA82 but the inner seal is different. If the set of bearing that you are referring to are already in a knuckle, getting them out without damaging the bearings maybe challenging.
