  2. speaking as someone who has turbo(which i love) and N/A soobs the turbo has much less low end till about 2000 rpm when the turbo kicks in. the power rating between spfi and mpfi is not very much plus they are harder to find you can look at the back of the diff and it will say lsd on on the tag
  3. if you are wanting low end tourque don't go turbo and i would defintly go with an ea82 preferably spfi or mpfi so you don't have to worry about the card running out of gas and for the disk brakes i like mine my gl-10 has disk brakes and it stops a lot better than my wagons with rear drum

  6. a couple ? about spark plugs 1. what is the best plug out there for the EA82T 2. does indexing the plugs help any
  7. i had an 84 gl wagon(yea i know it is not brat) i was pulling behind my 24 69 class A moter home well on the though IL the tranny decided to go out i was able to almost get it off the free-way well i was part way up an exit ramp and the tranny wouldn't pull any more. so i unhooked my car pulled it around front and hooked up the chain. put her in 4-lo reved the engine up and let out the clutch wheel spinin i couldn't believe it but it started movin once i got onto level ground i got up tp 40mph i was proud of my little car finnaly gave the car away about 2 months ago she still ran but i went though 3 trannys and 5 engines since this experence it was tiime to go
  8. more than likely when you replace that moter mount it will go away. if the rubber is missing or messed up when you give it power it twist the moter and with the rubber isn't there to take out vibration
  9. ac not working shouldn't stop the defroster from working. i have the ac unplugged on my car my defrost still works though
  10. or jack up the rear end and spin a tire if the other one spins the same direction it is lsd. if it goes the oppisite direction it's not
  11. have you check to see if the coil is getting a signal
  12. well mine is not as far along as i would like all i have is a spider intake and 2 1/2" exhaust. i'm trying to decide on intercooler or megasquirt. both will happen eventully. but only one thing at a time
  13. man i,ve been driving my 87 gl-10 turbo easy all week long. trying to get decent gas milage. and it has been running like crap. well i took it out and raced a few cars. after each race it did a little better. by the time i headed home it was running better than it has ran in a long time. moral of the story who cares about milage just drive it hard it likes it better<G>
  14. i was curious if you were to put a fun underneath the I/C to pull air though for low speeds would it be worth it.
  15. i think i would pull the engine out of the wrecked car and pull off the head with the bad exhaust valve and put the head from the other engine on it if it isn't cracked of corse just my 2 cents worth btw you can have the moter out in 1/2 hour if you do it right
  16. last time i replaced timing belts it cost me about 40 bucks. belts are adout 20 each at auto zone. i'm not sure what is in the kit put more than likely you can get buy with buying the belts and a chiltons manuel. it is fairly easy to do good luck
  17. your 92 loyal has hydralic lifters so no adjustment is possible. with my subarus i have had a problem with the oil pumps going out which will cause ticking. butif yours stops shortly after start up i don't think you have any thing to worry about
  18. sorry i don't have any pics but on my 84 wagon you picked up the rear seat and pulled a ruber grommet out of the floor to get to the adjuster i hope that helps
  19. how much power did it add. and when you say you are "from up by casper" do you mean now or you grew up near hear. cuz if you are in the area i would like to see the car
  20. i'm sure it is already on here some where but i was having no luck finding it. i have an 87 gl-10 turbo with the spider intake and 2 1/2" exhaust and i'm tired of hiting the fuel cut off so i have been concidering the megasquirt does any one have wiring diagrams. or can you tell me how hard it is to wire in and what all i will need.
  21. well apparently i need to take my foot out of the throttle i was getting 13 mpg with my old moter. died at 160,000 miles just got a new one in havn't run a full tank though yet. i was getting 18 or so before i put a spider intake on.
  22. hey cats cost a lot of money i don't have so i work to get as much power with as little cost as possible.
