Comes with directions. The ones I got were more like a list of hints on the grand adventure of Subaru lifting; hopefully they have been updated since. At first it kinda pissed me off but hey it wouldn't be a Subaru adventure if it was all spelled out for you and easy to do right?

This is easily a DIY project. Right off Brett's website: http://www.thebackyardboys.com/ Solid jack capable of lifting the wheels 5 inches from the ground. Car body stands… 2 minimum Wheel brace ……19mm for standard wheel nuts/lugs Sockets in sizes 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21mm Spanners/wrenches in the same sizes. Hacksaw/ tin snips Hammer Screwdrivers, 1 of each sort,(flat, star) Multigrips or pliers. Angle grinder for Air-conditioned vehicles Block of wood for cars with A/C. (3x2 about 200mm or 8 inches long) Grease, oil, etc.

I think the RX looks nice in gloss white and black trim / decals PS: just have Maco slap it on with ther Ambassador budget job. I easily spent that much painting my wagon myself...

$2400 for just headgasket job? Time to ask some seriouse questions here. Does this include a new cyilnder head... or two? What all are they intending to replace here for this estimate? I'd definatly call around to no less than 5 more shops and ask for estimates. I think then you will see why so many of us think thats quite a high estimate.

Hey, you got a turbo.... no need to wuss out on the 27" or 28" tires I spin 29"s just fine with a stock EA82 SPFI and 30"s "fit"

Arch's coustin welded the rear diff, front diff, and center diff all solid. This is on a street machine also Rage it !_!

Thats one clean looking wagon! Just the way it should have come from the factory
-
Good info! However 6x5.5" rims are only half the battle. We need rims with 3.75" or less backspacing to run wider tires.

Stock bumpers are expendible and definatly should be upgraded for any seriouse offroading. Especially if you want to pass tech inspection for ORV Parks and Events. Ya'll have prolly heard me preach it before and I sure aint stopping now about tech inspections. They are there for good reasons; modify your rig to pass tech and you will have capable, trail ready, Subaru. Sick of ripping off stock bumpers? Getting hung up on them? Now that you have rippped them up offroading are you ready to take the next step in upgrading your offroad Subaru? Time for custom bumpers. I'm very happy with mine, they pass tech, I've used them with a winch, and have yet to even scrape one offroading as they are so tight to the body now. I also feel safer behind some seemless steel tubing and 1/2" grade 8 steel bolts VS. the stock foam, plastic, and stamped sheet metal bumpers

You'd prolly redefine the description of "interfearance engine" However maybe not? Whats the stroke of the EJ20 vs. stroke of EA82? Now is there room in the cylinder to compensate for the extra stroke? :-\

Stripping Loyale; Logisitcal Problems...
MorganM replied to MorganM's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Not possible. (read: wife wont have it) She already hates the fact I got it. She expects it to be gone in a week I doubt my town home association would appriciate me tearing up the assphault drive way they poured last summer. My neighbors already complained I walked on it the day after it was laid; something tells me they would call the association and whine about it. Then I'd prolly have to pay for a whole new driveway in this wonderful world of civil suits. I'm pretty sick of associations and neighbors that need to mind their own buisness. I swear if they say one more thing about my cat going outside I'm just going to bring the cat, litter box and food over and say "Here, you're so worried about it's well being why dont you take it" -

Drove in the snowstorm of my life
MorganM replied to LoyaleFan's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Although if this here global warming keeps up it wont be like that much longer. That makes me happy and sad all at the same time -
I'd still check them My wife's car has thrown 2 now for no apparent reason. That's a single piece drive shaft right? So no center carrier bearing to worry about? Tough one here! *ponders*

Drove in the snowstorm of my life
MorganM replied to LoyaleFan's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Naw, it does that in MN too. -
Check all your wheels to ensure they have the wheel weights attached and that there isnt extra mud/snow caked up in them; inside and out.

Fire Order: 1-3-2-4 (right head then left head; boxer style!) Gap you are correct: 1.0 - 1.1mm

Get'n a free Loyale. Good thing is it runs okay and I'll be able to drive it to my garage. I obviously wanna strip all parts I can use before I send it off to the junkyard buuuuut.... How do I get it out of my garage then ?_? I mean I'd like to get EVERYTHING I could but then how do I get it out of my garage so the flat bed can winch it up on? It's too cold and some wise guy would call the cops before I stripped it in the street. Also whats the spline count on front DOJs for a Loyale AT 4WD no-turbo? If its the wrong count for my 5MT DR I wont even bother pulling them. Ideas? Thanks !_!

Help...LOUD clunking from left front wheel...
MorganM replied to Microracer's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Time to jack it up, pull that wheel off, and giver a look Also grab stuff and shake it. See whats loose. You said axles have been changed; start there. Castle nut on tight? Cotter pin in? Axle in tight (no more than a 1-2 MM of slop)? Caliper on tight? Any bolts missing? Don't forget the ball joint under the control arm there; and look beteen the bottom of the knuckle and the control arm also. Good luck !_!
