Pug alloys; those are sweetness. You coming down next weekend to the MN Subaru garage day? Maybe we could swap them on then. What size tire is on them?

Wow.... that poor old goat needs some TLC. Good luck man

Lots of duders run automatics now however. Highstall torque converter and you wont be kicking in untill you are in the power band. There is another competition rock crawler that uses an EJ22. They use Nitrous when they need that extra umph

Might be able to just reproduce decals for the doors; then paint the fenders to match. Not a very complex design to paint on the fenders. Just an idea -
Embarassed I dont know the answer

Should be a spark plug gab guage/adjuster at the parts shop. Usually right there at the cash register for like .99 cents. Usually they come pre-gaped; I always check. The gap is in your owners manual. I check becuase one time I didnt, threw some new 'pre-gaped' plugs into my Legacy EJ22. Started it up and it ran SOOOO bad. Pulld the plugs; 2 of them were completly closed.... no gap. Other 2 were fine; it was fireing on 2 cylinders =P Would have saved myself 15-25 minutes if I had just checked them before putting them in. Good luck !_! -
How deep?
MorganM replied to Slegacy96's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
I had my old 2WD Legacy L wagon in snow upto the hood line. Thick nasty stuff too; not fluffy powder. I wouldnt hesitate to drive through 17 inches with an AWD model. Biggest concern would be over heating due to snow packed in around the radiator. -
It specificly states spark arestor muffler for US Foresty Service regulations (so any national forest) and our states DNR has adopted that for all state forest trails and recreational areas. Weather the cat does that or not isnt up for negotiation with the DNR during a tech inspection The only spark arrestor glass pack I've seen is a Super Trapp. Those are out of my price range however... but they do have just the end cap disc kits so that might be an option to put that on my existing thunderbolt glasspack. The snorkle ban was geared twoard ATVs but was applied to all OHVs. Ban snorkels and you've esentially baned water crossings. This is already illegal for ORVs so you are right; it SEEMS pointless. However this bill would 'set the standard' for OHV regulations. Making it easier in the future to 'adhear to the standard' of regulating OHVs... to death. It's much easier to do small regulations that effect only a few so the rest say "meh, dont effect me, I'm not worried about it" and they get passed with little oposition. Unfortunatly it seems to be working because a lot of ppl are adopting the 'dont effect me, dont care' attitutde instead of supporting motorized recreation as a whole I'm rambeling now.... :-p

You said you got 3 diffs laying around.... why not weld one up and try it? Instead of theorizing about what COULD happen. Weld one up and see what DOES happen So you blow a few axles and decide its not worth it.... OR you find you are making obsticles that previously gave you hell and didnt break a darn thing.

While it's intent was most likely to only include ATV and OHMs it was applied to all OHVs in Minnesota They lump ORV, ATV, and OHM all into "OHV" and just start applying any regulations and restrictions they can come up with. Fighting a bill right now in legislation thats trying to ban snorkels and tire treads > 1" deep... again really only applies to ATVs but its being applied to OHVs as a whole I was also thinking of a Flowmaster 40 series. Have to look into getting one I spose. Any other favorite mufflers out there?

Pass stringent tech inspections If you meet these criteria you will have yourself a safe offroad rig and have a safe trail riding experience for yourself and everyone else. Here are some examples: http://www.ci4wi.org/Castana2004.htm http://files.dnr.state.mn.us/rlp/regulations/ohv/ohvregs04_05.pdf http://crawl4cure.org/docs/Tech_Inspection.pdf

I'd take it out back and use it for target practice. -
The EA82 spins CW.... so the starter would have to spin CCW.

This year I'd like to attend to events at our first state created/operated OHV park. Tech inspection is pretty stringent and I'll need to update my redneck exhuast system. Sighted in 2004-05 OHV Saftey and Regulations, on pg. 16. OHVs must be equiped with a federaly approved spark arrestor muffler, may not exceed 99 decibles at 22 feet distance, and exhuast may not have a cutout / bypass. To my understanding most any muffler is a 'spark arrestor' with the exception of straight through mufflers like cherry bombs and other glasspacks. The only 'glass pack' that I have seen with a spark arrestor are Super Trapp mufflers equiped with the baffel discs at the muffler tip. As much as I love the sound of my Subaru it's better to be legal then to sound 'cool' :-p (gawd.... am I turning into my dad already? ) Need some opinions on baffeld mufflers. What do you run? How durable are they offroad? Thanks !_!

Dealership parts duders ALWAYS want a VIN number. This ensures that they cant mess up looking up your exact year/make/model and can blame you for copying down the wrong VIN if it does come up with the wrong one. He still should have been able to look up year/make/model and found what you were looking for. Might get an audible *sigh* or but they will do it... Good luck

Give that a try and let us know how it works out :-p

I thought Mr. Bracket's solid axle XT6 was pretty damn Ultimate Definatly lots of other good rigs on the site here. The "Ultimate Subaru" is really in the eye of the beholder
