  1. I think you mean ATTN: EVERYONE WITH A TURBO :-p
  2. I spose its possible just cant see it from this pic. That thing you point out there looks like a tranny cross member to me. Looks like there MIGHT be leaf springs in the rear there.... but what about the front? I dont see leaf springs there :/ Again kinda a crappy pic to see these things.
  3. They are either 2 different Legacy wagons or that is a pic before he went BIG. The pic above has no Toyota frame under it. He prolly got sick of busting axles LOL
  4. Wifey said no Anyone else able to foster a USMB member? Want me to call around for a good hotel rate?
  5. Nobody is questioning anyone's honesty here. I have great respect for charter members (wow I am one too =P) However I can disbelive an esstimated number and still belive in the person making the esstimations. I never said he was lieing about it or that his esstimations were dishonest. I'm sure he honestly belives them to be accurate and thats great. I can disagree and with out disrespect
  6. EFI 2 WIN When I'm pointed vertical up a hill and flooring it I don't have to worry about a carb craping out on me.
  7. Is this thing yours? Any more information? What frame? Engine? Drivetrain? Rims? Tires? Thx
  8. I'll be getting back to OFFROAD'n We got so little snow in the twincities so far I've only had to use 4WD 4 days...
  9. Yeah it takes a big vacume leak to lower the idle. I know most raise the idle but I've had a large one (hose popped off PCV valve) and it wouldnt idle hardly at all. Hope you get it tracked down man. If not I can ship you all the Loyale parts you want
  10. I never had luck with those "one man bleeder" kits. These are the REAL one man bleeders (that people like me can afford ) http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=16029&highlight=speed+bleeder Sorry I wasn't clear. I was refering to the engine off. With the engine on and using the brake booster it's a different story. That pedal, even a spongey one, should hold SOLID if you pump up pressure (engine off). If it starts to go down progressivly AT ALL then you have a leak somewhere. This stuff is HIGh pressure; even the smallest leak will leave you with a spongey pedal and air in the lines.
  11. EFI 2 WIN From what Snowman says it's not too hard to convert EA81 over to SPFI Plenty of Loyale's to scavange SPFI parts from. Vacume leak? Sorry I'm not into the whole carb thing....
  12. When you pump the pedal to get pressure and then stand on it. Does it hold SOLID or does it slowly go down ?
  13. Did you bleed the Slave Cylinders at the calipers in the proper cross directional pattern? I bleed QUARTS through mine before I realized I was doing it in the wrong order. Honestly didnt think it would make a difference but it really did. First time I did it in the proper order my pedal was 75% better than it had been. Did it one more time and it was rock solid. This was all after replacing lines from the rear seats to the rear calipers and doing rear dics swap.
  14. That's a pretty awsome setup man. 40 MPH on the water is damn fast What do you mean by 'stick drive' ? I've seen these boats before and understand the rudder steering but the stick drive eludes me Are your pictures in digital format? If so I can host them for you. I have plenty of web space.
  15. So this is the last week in JAN, 28 - 31 right? Can't forecast the weather 3 weeks out. They can't even forecast it reliably a few days out around here
  16. It prolly did come from an FSM originally. Who knows by now :-\
  17. Getting all philosophical :-p Sorry I just do not belive everything everyone says. Its nothing against you or anyone else. I don't doubt you, and others, have built some sick engines. I just dont belive ESTIMATED engine output numbers; I belive dyno print outs and time slips. I look forward to your article. Hopefully it will shed light on missing, key, details of your build ups and give insight as to how these estimations were derived. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from it
  18. EA82 SPFI Havent ran one for years. MPG suffers but not nearly as bad as when I put on big tires :-p If you can; replace it for sure. Not expensive as it's pretty much a generic one wire O2 sensor. Prolly cost you more to buy the O2 sensor socket than the sensor itself. Special socket isnt always required; proper sized open end wrench will do the trick also.
  19. Weld one up. Maybe one that hooks into your tie down loops up front? That's about the most solid points up front there. Bumper is no good; mostly plastic, stirefoam, and wussy stamped sheet metal.
  20. 1) It's not a high performance machine. They never intended it to be one. As noted its cheaper not to put one in. They prolly put in a turbo to make up for their inefficient auto transmission :-p 2) Lots of reasons... people are wussies, they 'dont need it', its 'not as reliable', or it was more expensive, they might not of even known there was a turbo model. I'm sure there's more.
  21. OH did I say that out loud? Back to the question at hand: I think it would make a pimptastic offroad rig. Rage it !_!
