  1. Slick; always liked those sport wagons. So when is the lift and swampers going on?
  2. Duh it's so a muffler tip like THIS wont rub on the ground! Is that even a tip anymore? Looks more like a WMD :-p All kinds of stuff on that site. I dunno that I'd get the springs only... why not the whole lift?
  3. Grind on good sir! Same size rims but shaped a little different and the calipers are quite a bit different.
  4. SAT 01 JAN works fine for me; how about everyone else? I know yes ppl will prolly be partied out but ya dont have to get up early We could do it at say 1:00 after noon? How about we vote on it. I'd like to include as many ppl as possible! ============== SAT, 01 JAN 05 SUN, 02 JAN 05 ============== MorganM: 01 mschafe: 01 Chef Tim: 01 elcaminokurt: 01 Austin: 01 Chux: 01 (tenative) Legacytuner: 01 .... sounds like SAT. 01 JAN is the weiner! :-p
  5. 1" tall, 2" diamiter circle, filter element with metal screen around it. Black plastic / rubber. Commonly referd to as 'valve cover breathers' or just 'breathers'. You can find them in the "Import" or "Performance" sections of most parts shops. Next too the elite chrome thermostat housings, chrome v8 valve covers, anodized green oil caps, and french tickler rubber steering wheel covers
  6. The Ford C4 he's refering too might be the exception. The C4 is SOOOOO light its just scary. Only reason I know this (I'm no Ford guy!) is becuase I helped Stepka pick up a core from King Cobra a few years ago when he was building his '69 Mach 1. I easily lifted the whole C4 myself.... it was lighter than the 4WD Dual Range I swaped into my wagon Now the TH350 (like the one that was in my Cadillac Regal) those are prerdy darn heavy :-p but tough as rocks!
  7. Many ppl have done this mod and I only heard of one with problems as a result. Two now I've seen in person working with re-routed PCV systems and no extra oil leaks to report. Only time I've heard of re-routing the PCV system and bad results was when someone accidently BOOSTED their PCV system . Someone accidently plumed in boosted intake air into the block on an EA82T through the PCV system. That did result in some bad oil leaks if I recall correctly :-p However that was operator error
  8. Aw man that really sucks I saw two EA81's at a local junkyard if you are interested. Been a few weeks now though... hopefully they didnt get crushed yet :-\
  9. Glad you found it! Full system drain and refill should do you fine. If you want run a hose through it while the engine is running to clean her out. Or use that fancy flush kit I would definatly drain and switch completly over to whichever one you plan on running.
  10. As long as you use the clutch assembly and flywheel from the donor the spline count is irrelivant. Any 5spd should bolt right upto your engine.
  11. I'd start with the alternator. Sounds like the voltage regulator is pushing too much power out into your electrical system. Is your voltes guage riding above 16amps ?
  12. I wouldnt worry about switching over unless teh AT is acting funny or untill it finally goes out. In the mean time you can stow away some cash or parts for the conversion. Then you are more prepared when it comes time
  13. So far it looks like SAT 02 JAN might work the best? Time; how about 12noon till... whenever? Location I thought the pizza shop worked pretty well. Plenty of parking space and pizza on hand. Also just a few blocks away from some trails if we wanted to fling some snow. I could get more specific directions for those coming outside the cities.
  14. What kind of cost are you talking about? If a set could be had for $200 you might be onto something. Custom made wheels has always been an option. If we could afford custom crafted wheels I don't think we'd be using Pugs, redrilled hubs or redrilled junkyard rims. :-p
  15. Looks good and dirty Nice fender :-p
  16. I used little breather filters on the ends. INstead of all my PCV system routeing to my PCV valve on the intake manifold I routed it all to a little breather filter. Shouldnt really be pushing enough oil out there to necesiatate a catch can. Mine blows all kinds of oil through there and I havent even clogged up the filter yet.
  17. Oh man I can't wait for mine to show up USPS definatly picked mine up last week. Should be in your mail box any day now!
  18. One trick that does work to check bead seat and valve stems is using a spray bottle of soapy water. Splash on the soapy water and bubbles will start forming where you have any leaks. Little tiny bubbles so look close I've had GREAT luck with "Fix A Flat" spray gunk in a can. Had it hold air in tires that had slow leaks untill the tires finally seperated and were thrashed. Really does seal up tires! Read the directions on the can for best results

    Fuel Cell Q's

I would not hesitate to contact your state Dept. of Transportation or State Patrol. If they do not have the answers they will know who would.

    lift qs

Jeeeez $1500 in steel? Thats money! For brake lines I paid $50/line to have 2' softlines custom made. How about steering? With this much lift didn't you guys have to use a carrier bearing ? Please elaborate !_!
