  1. my dad had a wagon do the exact same thing, and it was the t-stat....
  2. Welcome back!!!!! yes, that car was like a boomerang for me... I sold it to a friend after building up my Red Brat, then 2 years later I got it back needing an engine, tranny, radiator... fixed it up and sold it to my dad for a year, then got it back again, did some more work to it, then sold it to bluebaru! actually, it's now got the engine back in it that it came from Cali with !!! this is one of my favorite pics of it... shortly after it came to Iowa.... Hope to see you around in the newGen !
  3. fuel filters and a can of Seafoam in the gas tank first off. I'd hook up a temp voltage guage direct to battery to see if it's really dropping that low... the ea81 guage is very susceptible to issues with the load on the IGN portion of the fuse panel..... I had a write-up somewhere of the "fix" I did for this, but can't find it now.....
  4. If you look at the custom valve covers for the airplane ea81s delete it totally... though I know first hand, if you do have blow by, and have it capped off (don't either vent to atmosphere, or route back into intake), you will generate too much pressure from the blow by, and start spewing oil out the seals... in Missouri, it's an inspection thing. they can't be vented to atmosphere.
  5. I have a bunch of pics. I can zip them up for download, or make a CD for you......
  6. just a clip someone if my local 4x4 club found
  7. In order of most common to least common (in my experience) valve cover gaskets volve cover bolt rubber grommets oil pan gasket oil pump gasket front crank seal intake manifold gaskets (coolant) rear main seal I've had trannys that leaked at the case halves seam
  8. I found a pic of the intake....
  9. shot with the basket... this thing hauls I replaced the stock bypass valve with a TurboXS one. I still need to make some mounts for the IC,and redo the custom adapter for the Bypass valve hose.
  10. I'd be in for some... I should check to see what size they are on the gokart....
  11. see if Shawn has any pics of the old black lifted turbo brat... it had a cone filter on it. I was making one identical to it for my blue turbo brat, but never completed it before I sold it.... I went through all my pics, and it looks like I never took a pic of the engine compartment.....
  12. I thought about having them copy my 14" jackmans to get the other 2 I need.....

for me, if I'm gonna undertake that much fabrication, I'd go solid...

  17. Turbo + 4.11 gears + LSD = Fun yeah, I researched all the threads where Josh was building it, and it really looked solid. I'm sure it will make for an interesting time troubleshooting though
  18. plastic gears.... how many miles on it?
  19. not sure. it was in the Marketplace here, and Legacy Central. was in Tacoma.
  20. yeah, except I'm used to highway driving where I just plant my foot on the floor and leave it there can't do that now....
  21. My latest.... it's technically got 6 different colors on it right now.... I'm wondering if a camo paint job would be in order....
