An AC coil can add much more heat if the radiator is on it's way out. Depending where you live, you have to look at it more as a heat exchanger then a cooler. The radiator assits on heating the fluid in winter, so I always mount them before the radiator. I run a temp gauge so in winter the difference is notable.

Odd we were all there by noon. Last (or first) row in the Asian section (last row before the hill). The Asian Passport stamp table was right there next to us. The Datsun convertables were right across from us.

I was there for Sat and Sunday. It was the year of the SVX's. There were four of them, some imps, a 97 Lego that was all sort of tastefuly modified, a couple of toyoroos, and the Justy. There was an 80'6 Turbo Hatch with 86K on it, but needed TLC. There were two riced out Imps, but they were antisocial and hung out with the (gasp) Toyotas. There was only one SVX there on Friday so it won an award for the most rare car. *mumble* next year i will have to get the Justy there on a friday, show up that SVX I will. Justy got a lot of attention. Friday I heard the place was crowded. Saturday not so much, and sunday was empty. The weather was overcast on Sat and sunday was cold and wet on and off. There were not as many vendors as last year. The prettiest grouping was the Opels. SAABs were there in numbers to qualify as an army. Quite a few Citrons. There were so many TVR's that i expected them to be killing people just to keep their reputations intact.

It is not really doing the work of holding the solenoid open. Any spare fuse in the car will do (in the fusebox)

Ops i meant no offense taken. Anyone here who knows me knows i never "parrot" things on the net, just that term is sort of insulting. i am honest and give the sources, provide when asked, or (shock) am honest enough to say I don't know or admit i learned something. I was also sort of surprised the numbers were so low at the rear wheels, I thought they would be a little higher.

BTW it is great to see all these dyno curves. I will have to bookmark this for when people ask me if i know where any are. Good seeing them all compared, granted different machines, but close enough for comparison sake.

Sources for the sensors(subaru specific) - My automotive engineering degree 30 plus years in the business Haynes manual (if you want I can even specify the pages, but hey, what do I know) Subaru Factory manual This obscure thing called google, i know people never heard of it before. And offense taken. Generally speaking, depending upon the mfg, they may use either sensor for timing and injection, or both with split duties. They can also be used to check against each other for a timing belt starting to stretch, but usually by then it is too late.

Just a little education for getting here. NYC doesnt have freeways, but highways and parkways, they are not the same. Parkways are no trucks due to lane width and low bridges. Also depending upon what Uhaul beast you are bringing here, be fully aware of the height of the truck. If it is not marked measure it and read the bridge height signs. And welcome to the land of alt side of the street parking http://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/motorist/alternate-side-parking.shtml Get yourself a cheap bicycle and multiple locks, easiest way to get around locally at times. Crank sensor is for ignition timing (piston position) and the cam sensor is for injection timing. The car can't run with a bad crank sensor (no spark) but I can't swear the same for the cam sensor.

Low mpg and slightly low power... Starting place?

Car could be due for a full tuneup, proper plugs, wires, air filter fuel filter, pcv valve. How does the car run otherwise Also another thing to look at is a stuck brake

Year and mileage? What is your idle RPM? Check your alt output (humor me) Get a gauge, they are cheap enough for test purposes. If you want to mount the gauge get a name brand. Get one where you can actually read the low end of scale. When it stalls does it sputter or just cut out.

Coil failures are rare in coils as a group. They are not rare in 20 plus years old can type coils that have never been replaced.

I honestly would just swap another coil in and see what happens. It is hard to bench test a weak coil as not only do you need the heat, but you also need the 60kv to test the insulation.
