axle grease isnt known for its incendiary qualities. depends how hot it gets......i've seen a the bearing barrel breather on a 2" waterpump start 'breathing' flames due to the grease inside getting that hot that it was fumeing off

I do think it's important to point out that the twin turbo WRX that was discovered in Aus didn't come like that from factory and Subaru never released the WRX with the twin tubo setup. ummm....that WRX was in dunedin.....not aussie......sorry if i didn't mention that

Fair enough on the 'no WRX twin turbos" thing.....although it looked real factory fitted and had come in from japan like that...i know cos i looked at on the wharf in port charmers you going to be to try get ppl to stop calling EJ20 turbos EJ20T's....once ppl have established that they are talking about a turbo then they use model designation's to further describe what they are talking about. but and EJ20T is instantly recognised as a turbo on here....an EJ20K is not although they can be one and the same. As for Twin Turbos.....they are mythical beasties to the majority of ppl on this board due to most of them being from america (may we have pity on them...)

yeah i got a lambda controller in my ute.....makes tuning really easy to say the least

LPG has a reputation for burning out exhaust valves...main reason is that ppl don't give it enough advance = still burning mixture going out exhaust valve

my mpg on petrol was 10 km per liter=10ltr per 100km = 28mpg imperial gallons.....nearly all hilly country and with a high canopy on on LPG i use 7.69km per Ltr = 13Ltr per 100km = 21 mpg advance set as far foward as it will physically go without moving dizzy round a tooth interestingly my mpg never altered when i put the FT4WD DR 'box in

i put an aftermarket cruise control on my(aussie) brumby....an that parts list you put up is alot longer than what i've got and it does its thing perfectly

Love the open headers.......seems a bit of a waste to put an exhaust on that will shut it up......maybe one of those exhaust dump/bypass valves that opens the pipe to atmosphere at the push of a button?

thats how i had the blower on set up last time....i had a bypass round the blower with a homemade oneway valve, as soon as there was pressure downstream of the SC it would shut the valve and force the boost into the motor. i had my supercharger drive-clutch switched on the dash. when i do it again i will run the a 3 way on-off-on switch through a hobbs vacuum switch set to start the SC turning at 9" of vac......switch will also be able to switch blower on all the time

^^^as long as you don't go drawthru carby with them.....petrol kills the seals and lobe coatings in real short order.....the eaton M62 off the buick V6 would be the go in the states.....although i gather that it has the same issues with seals not being petrol proof.....however unlike the SC12 &14 the eaton can be resealed with available seals (SC12&14 used funny size seals). the Merc 230kompressor also had a eaton on it but it had a clutch drive on the front a'la AC compressor style(SC12 has the same type of thing)

propane efi has been being done in europe for while now using a piggyback ecu to drive the gas injectors......however i don't see any reason to go gas injection on a subaru as we have alloy intake manifolds and they standup to the odd tuning backfire rather well(unlike the plastic intake manifolds that half the new cars come out with). the other thing to think about is that due to the cold where you are you'd need to start an warm the motor up on petrol as propane injection needs the gaseous fuel to be 30-40 psi above manifold pressure so the propane tank would need to be at least 10deg C...or you'd need to run a pump to boost pressure back up. (i run a carb'd LPG system an found i needed to run a heater hose back an around my LPG tank because at under -5C it 'just' wouldn't give me enough gas for full noise)

its been done....there was a a brumby sold it New Zealand back in '99 IIRC that had a ej18 turbo'ised in it....but it was done out to be a 'show queen'....wwwwaaaaayyy too shiny for my likeing:-p

i filled it right up......thats why you need the bigger hole so you can get it to weld starting right at the bottom and build up from there....too small a hole and it'll arc onto the side's and could leave a hole at the bottom of the hole

yeah it can be welded....i had to do it on my brumby not long after i bought it......what i did was drilled out the hole as big a i was prepared to risk(don't remember size offhand...it was a about 5 years ago) then i preheated it and hit it with a mig, filled up the hole and the ground it flat with a flap disk on a 5' grinder.....then marked, drilled an taped to original thread

if your putting a propane mixer in the intake you want it as close to the throttle body as possible, you really don't want a light walled or plastic section of the intake filled with fuel/air if you get a backfire....i'd be looking for one that is stepped and fits over the end of the throttle body...thats what my one does (over a ea82t throttle body)
