  1. Forget everything you learned from the ford... the subaru is much different. Search e-bay for a Factory Service Manual for your year... read it, learn it, live it! -Brian
  2. There's no WE... Your the one who did it -Brian
  3. Depends on how you look at things. But he said its the best price, and Im pretty sure there are cheaper lifts out there for EA81 and EA82s. The AA has something for everyone tho... so, looks like it'd be a good idea if you have a EJ series. -Brian
  4. Here's the outback from AA: -Brian
  5. here's the outback from AA. -Brian
  6. You can email a pic to me and I will be happy to host it. As a matter of fact, I could lend you an album on my gallery and you can host as many pix of your projects you want. PM me for more info. -Brian
  7. Yeah I drove from Redding California to Albany Oregon in RWD mode after losing a CV. Ive done it in my old Brat too. Never experienced any ill effects, you should be fine for a week or two. I drove my Brat in RWD for a couple months I believe. -Brian
  8. Get rid of the stock fans. Glad to hear the car is running. Cant wait to see it with all the body work done. -Brian
  9. I know how you got the original 2" but what did you do to add another 2"? The Forester is lookin great! Much better with swampers on it. -Brian
  10. Not really the best price. -Brian
  11. Lol, is this erics brat he's selling? I used carfax once and paid $10 for it i think. Then emailed them to try to get my $$ back (their policy said if i wasnt satisfied... and i wasnt). Never got my $$ back so I wish i woulda just asked here 1st. -Brian
  12. Have you called to leave him a message? I think his number is listed on a new thread in the marketplace. I remember seeing him posting a '84 wagon for sale. Has his Phone# and contact instructions. -Brian
  13. That looks great with those tires. Cut the fenders and slap on some nice wide fender flares and you could make a pretty sweet mud dragster outa that. -Brian
  14. Remember how I fixed Daves fans when we where wheeling Jumbo Grade? Cut the plug from your donor car, that plugs into the fan. You will need to figure out which is ground and which is hot (positive). Wire the hot to the + on the coil. Any time your ignition is turned on, the fan will turn on. I wouldnt use it long-term, but it will keep your brat from overheating. If you switch to manual gauges then there is no wiring, therefore nothing to go wrong. Its definatly a more reliable way of going. -Brian
  15. Does it have a CWA sticker on the backside of the screen? Check the other post for a description. I gave a laptop to Oddcomp at the WCSS, not sure if its the one you found or not. -Brian
  16. If its a IBM Thinkpad, 486sx with a expanding keyboard and a missing rear panel than its Oddcomps. I gave it to him, not sure how it'd make it into your car, but just thinking. -Brian
  17. Make sure the wiring for the gauge is correct. I believe there is a plug on or near the thermostat housing which the temp gauge uses. I could be wrong, its been a while since Ive been under a EA81. JB, if you wanna add some custom gauges, we could convert your Oil & Temp to manual gauges. They are 100% correct 100% of the time. The gauges in the stock subies are crap IMO. Maybe in your best interest. Plus, when we wire your off-road lights, we can wire your fan to a relay and they can run all the time... shouldnt hurt. But as Dave would say "keep it stock" so we can try to trace down the problem on my next visit. Whenever that'll be. -Brian
  18. get some new NGKs and throw out the bosch. Gap them to .44mm -Brian
  19. does it work? If so its mine :-p Just kidding.... -Brian
  20. Do you have an extra set Will? My RX could REALLLLY use one. -Brian
  21. He has gained employment with the dealer, but that doesnt excuse him from his prior engagements. EXPECIALLY WHEN WE HAVE PAID HIM IN FULL ALREADY! Wait... capslock off. PAID IN FULL OVER 2 YEARS AGO!!! Oh wait... caps lock off again. -Brian
  22. I can tell you not to buy a bumper from him -Brian
  23. Wow forester springs and struts get you 4" of lift???? Since when? -Brian
  24. First off... how are you going to get 4" of lift? And 2nd, if you lift it 4" and you fit larger tires... you are most definatly going to loose gas milage. The Kumho are probably the best for the money. You could go with a superswamper in 28". With 4" of lift you should be able to run them with minor fender trimming. -Brian
