  1. I have used PCI kits on both my RX and my Legacy Turbo. The RX Kit came with everything complete and worked great! The Turbo Legacy kit came with everything complete, and the belt even had the markings required for a seamless installation. I definatly give the PCI Brand 5 stars... you shouldn't have to worry at all when ordering your kit.
  2. Thats kinda what I was thinking as well... that or the big bear/eagle lakes area.
  3. So is everybody okay with Sunday the 14th?? Dave I know you will be out of town on the 13th... you gonna be rested and ready for Sunday? Now the question remains, where to meet?
  4. Im not willing to beat up my brat, if its "fender safe" wheelin then maybe. I think the 14th sounds good though.
  5. On our way to the WCSS8. Jibs & I drove from Nevada to Oregon through central Oregon... stopping at Crater Lake & spending an entire day wheelin' in Bend Or. The best G*DDAMN ROAD TRIP EVER!! Once we were there, more fun was to be had. After this session in the mud pit, I ended up grenading a rear CV and bending both my front Struts. The 2 day drive home was fun, trying to keep things moving straight. ..........now...... (you didn't specify "subaru only" ) No, but this >Ultimate Subaru Message Board > Subarus > Subaru MotorSports > Off Road
  6. If your replacement stereo doesn't use a common ground for the speakers, then I would recommend you run new wiring from the deck to the speaker. Its a pain in the arse, but really its the best way. You may also want to probe for a constant 12V and a switched 12V for your new stereo as well. The stock stereo has a switched 12V, but im not sure if there is a constant 12V because it doesn't have a memory to store. -Brian
  7. Yeah there is a hole on the side of the carb that supplies vacuum or pressure to the diaphram. I plugged it with a screw when I did my mod.
  8. Next time you drive the car, try to go from a rolling start and then stomp on it. If you get a huge dead spot, then the car goes like stink.. chances are it has the mod done. The secondary mod forces the second barrel to open when throttle gets past 3/4 to WOT. However, usually the second barrel isnt primed and you get a lean condition before it forces fuel through... this is what causes a dead spot in the acceleration. But after that, its usually noticable. It's hard to see if the mod was performed if the vacuum diaphram is still attatched. It blocks the linkage and makes it hard to see. Here's a small write-up I did on the mod: http://4lug.bydemons.com/index.php?view=items&cid=1%3Amods&id=3%3Amodified-hitachi-2bbl-carburator-ea81&option=com_quickfaq&Itemid=6
  9. Seats are still in my car... but I suppose I could swap those ugly tan legacy seats over.
  10. I was waiting for the snow to fall. Im wondering if maybe Kyburz will have anything?
  11. He will probably take it to a dealer that knows what they are doing... if you ask me, the dealer the original poster bought it from didn't know what to do. Hopefully a USMB member will end up with it and get it fixed right
  12. Ive never tipped a Subaru. Ive had them over so far that the passenger could reach out and touch the ground. Its definatly alot more than a toyota or any other wheeler can handle. When I bought my toyota & took it out on its first trip, I put it on its side on purpose... because I was used to wheelin subaru's I didn't want any suprises when it came to the toyota. I was suprised how easily the thing went over... it didnt take much. Real world experience will pay off better than just pulling your car over with another one.
  13. About a hundred Legacys and a handful of EA82's. I walked over and noticed a EA82 Turbo Wagon with "Full Time 4WD" on the rear door... so I looked under it and sure enough the rear diff had "L.S.D." on the tag. I stand up, and look next to it to see another GL10 Wagon with "Full Time 4WD" on the door... look under it, but there's no tag on the diff. So I spin one wheel and I'll be damned if the other wheel didn't spin the same direction. So... there are two LSD diffs at the Pick N Pull in Rancho Cordova. Unlucky for me, I only arived with hand tools... and not dressed to lay under a wagon. So, someone better go get em before the Datsun crowd sniffs them out.
  14. We could turn it into a Xmas tree run, but I dont know what the reg's are up in Tahoe on cutting down tree's.
  15. Did you replace the coil? $20 at autozone, cheap fix if you ask me.
  16. Yeah sorry about this. The software wont allow a period in your username, and it has to be more than 4 letters. I will be looking into resolving this when I phase out of beta stage. So for now im sorry, you'll have to use the name you setup.
  17. Greenley, on my Brat I had to hard-wire the radiator fan as well... here's what I did. Disconnect the 2 post plug for the fan itself & use two female spade connectors to connect to the stock fan plug. Ground one & run the other to your relay. Then wire the relay to the battery for its constant 12V and the switched power from the + on your coil. This keeps all the wiring kinda neat and in the same area. The Coil gets 12V with the key on, which triggers your relay to supply power to the fan. Also, with the spade connectors you dont alter the stock wiring and if you ever want to go back to stock you can.
  18. Did you ever get your email? I see you registered but not confirmed.
  19. Hey Chux... you should be able to edit your profile now. I found the problem was with the user management software that I am using. Its seperate from the user registration that the main site uses, and apparently thats the link i provided for registration. So the plugin that manages the Users has the required fields, and they were not getting filled out... therefore profiles were not being submitted correctly. Ive fixed the links, and I filled in the items on your profile and aproved it. You should be able to go in and edit them now.
  20. It looks like you registered but didn't fill out some required fields. I had to go in and fill them for you, so take a look at your profile and update it with the correct info. Check your PM Here, i sent you a new password... i had to reset it to test to make sure things worked. I'll have to dig deeper and see why it let you register w/out all the required fields... maybe make those optional for now. **EDIT** Found the problem... fixed it.
  21. Very odd. I changed your password through the admin screen and tried logging in myself and got the same error. Let me try something else real quick.
  22. Ok guys. I've gone ahead and rebuilt the beta page featuring the new software and components. Maybe you can see where things are going with this. http://4lug.bydemons.com Registration is open, but the site is still in BETA form, which means there maybe bugs that im not aware of. There are also a couple things in the works, all the info can be found there. I encourage everyone interested to sign up & poke around.
