  1. If it was me I would go 27 SSR or TSL , no lift of 1-2" lift bash and trim, that way its road legal tougher tire then ATV and alot lower gear then 31
  2. I never had a issue with that engine or brakes in a 1 1/2 years , did you swamp the car and get everything wet?

  4. this has happened befor something like a bongo drum at WCSS8 AA car
  5. doors from 85-91 should all bolt up
  6. Dylan, you get the carb and we can make a adapter, OK
  7. this helps.. rev it way up and drop the clutch, dont ride the clutch, this gives a little more power for those steep hill climbs, smaller the tires the better gearing also , we will plan a trip to walker once your cars up to it and I have something to take SJR:banana:
  8. heres what I got by gutting all 4 doors and the hatch you save 200 lbs, makes a difference

  12. 27" (215/75-15 ) works good 28-29" requires a little more trim and banging 16" rim hummm.... wondering the offset, you dont want to much , also if they are alloy you will need different studs and nuts, (costly) your welcome to come by on shop night thursday at 7:00 we can help , we get together just for the fun of it PM me with phone if interested SJR
  13. looks good!! ...........bring on the dents!!
  14. Ive been driving in 2wd low for a year now,no issues havent tried towing, SJR
  15. to fit o the rear :the mud flaps will need to be removed , trim bottom corners and roll the whole edge about 1" , as you beat on the lip it will naturally want to roll under about 1", for the front it will require quiet a bit of beating at the rear where the body starts, the fender will also need trimmed , once all done show us a picture SJR
  16. if you get a small winch also get a pulley (or block) so you can double the strength, also so you can pull around corners, I used my 8000 lb ramsey last time out, it wasnt for me but the guy with the brocken hub in the Isuzu trooper, I set up with bumper against a tree and used the pulley to get inline with him, we used all 80 ft of the cable, go bigger if you can, there will come a time when you will be glad you got the bigger one SJR
  17. Good one Rob Im not disapointed, I would much rather se that machine of your in your hands having a blast with it on the trails, Its to tell the truth a relief your keeping it, even if i got it for a good deal, it would still require a day to go pick it up then the parts and labor to fix it then, I would still have way to many projects going and not get out and enjoy them as I should, I have this disorder of such I get excited and start new projects when the old projects are in no way of being finished or completed ,when you do get that beast going we need to plan a all out super subaru offroading event so all this web wheelin compitition can see some truth as the rubber hits the trails, :banana:SJR
  18. Im still learning myself, it also may be different in the US ,
  19. Im building something similar to this based on a legacy wagon componants , figure it should be strong enough ,will be extra light , will be running 31" tires ( yes had to move the struts up to clear ) only time will tell if the axles will hold up
  20. has anyone broke an ea82 axle or legacy axle ?? , reason I ask is Im wanting to know the limits of these parts , the newer legacy/impreza stuff looks pretty tough , but are they??
  21. thanks for sharing, thats the second time Ive seen that one , only one coment ... a locked rear diff makes all the difference
