transmition options
in my 'Ultimate Offroader Project' I am considering running a second transmision out of a Ranger/BroncoII complete with transfercase this would give me a 2.74 tranfer ratio, 3.77 first gear ratio in the bronco trans with a final crawl ratio of 220 to do this I will need to convert the front of the Bronco trans from a splined clutch shaft to a yoke with a u-joint , if this is doable it should work awesome behind the Turbo EA82 220CR is ten times slower then stock 22CR

WCSS8 Where will it be?
Scott in Bellingham replied to Scott in Bellingham's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome CenterI would like to see some offroad compition of some type, ( not to far from home) something we can take our vehicles to the limit against other soobie nuts ( I really enjoyed last years show, good job guys) the highlight was going offroad with others , also met a few nice guys from my area and have built a relation with them , sorry I missed the AA jump:)

Framing the Roo
I would run the 2 x 3 tubing alongside the drop down mounts as to keep the frame tubing one continuous peice, instead of multiple peices which joints have a acces hole in them, in that way the frame would be a stand alone structure and not count on the body for strength, show us Pics as you go along this is interesting Scott

Tranfercase rigs- what tire you running, how big?
I am in the process of designing a EA82 with added transfercase for lower gears, the question comes up which tire and size should I run? at first I thought 31 or 32 maybe the Super Swamper TSL 32 / 9.5 x 15 , what are you guys running on your transfercase rigs? I have heard the rear stubs out of the diff like to break , what else is a week link?

What engines will bolt into 88 GL Wagon?
Huuuuumm wonder where you found that?
-
7 inch lift friend or foe?.....let me rephrase
I am currently running a 6" lift on my 88 GL , up front its all 6 inch body lift, sus stays the same except I mounted the trans at 4-3/4 , in the rear I dropped the sus cross tube and diff 5 " and the shocks 6" , so in the front its same as stock, in rear I added 1" to the clearance, . SJR
