NH Snow, whoah! (56k Beware...)
i've had my 92 going through snow that was above the bottom section of the door.went through it without a problem.snow was coming up over my hood. i even stop at one point to see how deep it was, after checking(by opening door an pushing snow aside with door)put her back in first an was able to take right off(little tire spin) moral of this story "never under-estimate the ability of your soobie-roo"

Lighting of the Rear end.
i was thinking of doing up some lights in the back but when i put on my front aux lights,my rpms drop.lights are 50w hooked up with a relay(wires were there from other set of lights i had)though new lights didn't say it was needed. i assume they're pulling alot off the alt/battery.(cheap walmart battery,i miss my optima yellow top)

perfect skid pan for a legacy
does it look like there's enough space between the skid plate an oil pan,to allow for plate to take a small hit without hitting the pan. don't mean to revive an old thread, just wanted to ask question without starting new one. spacing towards the front of pan spacing towards back of pan

Stiff clutch. A subie thing???
subie94 replied to teppichkopf's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXi drove a 97 legacy gt wagon awhile back with a hydraulic clutch and can only say this-i'll stick with my cabled clutches thank you.didn't like the feel of the pedal when releasing the pedal. my 94 legacys clutch feels fine.you might have to just get used to it like i did or adjust it. unless yours is hydraulic one then ...i don't know.

NH Snow, whoah! (56k Beware...)
i took a look at that area of 89 (exit 11 ?) and i saw lots of unpaved roads.plus there looked like a ski area near there along with what looked like a fire trail. i used terra-server and was able to see both topo and aerial pics. i take it,trail was public friendly? (open to public) huh?!

subie94 replied to Sweet82's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXthat's how much i paid for 94 leg how'd the bug hold up,i'm sure it'll cost more for the bug to get fixed

NH Snow, whoah! (56k Beware...)
providing your tires have tread on them, you should have no problem. are you talking about stuff like this, right if it's your first time taking your subaru out on the trails,i'd take it slow at first.you gotta learn to swim before jumping into the deep-end of the (mud)pool

what diff ratio does my imp have?
subie94 replied to Ratty2Austin's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXon the rear-end,there's a label that has the ratio on it. at least on my 94 legacy there is. lay on your belly an slide under the back-end there should be a label like this sorry, kinda a blurry pic

subie94 replied to 97OBW's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXthe first winter i had my 94 legacy wagon in,i gave my friend a scare. going through the local dunkin donuts drive through(which was a basic wide u-turn).i did a'lil driftin around the turn.untill i noticed the back end was aiming towards a light pole. :-p awd subarus can be real fun in the snow:banana:

subie94 replied to korrupt66's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXone thing that i've learned, always check your plugs to make sure they're not loose.for the longest time i thought my valves needed adjustment.turned out that i've been driving around with loose plugs.

NH Snow, whoah! (56k Beware...)
still gonna be in manchester, crystal lake appts nice area and cheaper rent.so it's 5mins from exit 11 off 89. i take it,it's open to the public.i don't have to worry about police giving me a hard time or worse-(fined)? you can give me directions, but i won't be able to go till i got money. it sounds like it's easy to get to though.
