  1. ok some way the large pics resized. looks cool, liked the paint job.is that a type of color shifting paint? also-i gotta get one of those hunting permits i'm noticing that even though i own a legacy,i still find the older subies really cool looking.
  2. pics look great,man i wish i hadn't missed it.
  3. i take it the 2.5 had h/g probs? have you taken it out for a run yet to test it out? if you did,was there a diff in how much power it has? i've always heard of people doing swaps to put bigger engines in,but never the other way around.
  4. ah man i always miss the fun stuff.sure wish i could of made it there.
  5. you know i was just relooking at some of the pics you posted of your forester on the trails an i thought to myself, man those would be perfect for a subie ad. with a caption saying " buy a subaru and see were it takes you" oh yah an they look great as wallpaper
  6. if it wasn't for the fact that i'm paying rent for the garage i'm using now,i'd take the old roll up door off and do up a swing open type door.the one that's on there now is a real P.O.S !
  7. as it looks on my end,you were the 69th what kinda doors you gonna put on? sliding?<- -> swing-open? or rolling(up an down type)
  8. blah, blah, blah, etc interesting how we can go from talking how to remove a emblem to having a debate about religion an what not
  9. sorry to hear about your loss, maybe the next one will have some good karma.
  10. myself if... 1-i had the money i'd buy it 2-the mileage wasn't alot of stop-n-go driving.mixed highway an city miles i'd go for. well that's my two cents
  11. i had the same thing happen to my 94 legacy awhile back.i had the same thought as you have(sticking piston) went an replaced the caliper(drivers side front) acouple days later, same prob came back. just for the heck of it i disconnected the hill holder cable an to my surprise the prob went away.course i think it was to late to return the caliper not sure if you have auto or 5spd but i'd check the h/h device before working on the caliper.
  12. :( this sucks, the one time i want to actually wanna get out an meet with my fellow subie nuts.it's shot down.between work changing my days off an things going on at home. well i guess i'm not gonna be coming.maybe next time if something else like this comes up.
  13. i had a similar prob on my 86 gl wagon way back when i had it,it turned out that my right side tire was worn uneven .inside of tire was fine but outter edge was pretty much bald.so it just kept trying to go to the right an made left turns hard.
  14. i've been thinking about putting it back on,prob gonna wait till a day with no rain though.all though it's suppose to rain the rest of the week
  15. cool,i learn something new each day here.no wonder i love it here.
  16. i'm sure there is,but alot of the land that is off-road able for a stock subie is private land.there is one place an hour away that's for atvs an bikes but some of the trails are wide enough for a subie.i thing you gotta watch out for is the army reserves, they do their hovering training over some of the areas.so you don't want to look suscipious.area has been known for having certain crops being grown there one time back when i had my 86 gl wagon with d/r,i was out there doing my thing an i hear this weird noise.first i think it's the engine so i shut it down.nope still there so i look up an what do i see but a military chopper sitting there above me hovering.scared the sh*& out of me.
  17. "Terrapondus"-The natural tendency to gravitate towards the dirt.-so that's what's wrong with me man that looked like it be alot of fun,we need a place like that closer to my neck of the woods.that i know of there's no place like that(well that's legal)
  18. you have abs ? on my 94 legacy gt i found out i can't use the stock intake tube along with the cone filter cause the abs pump is in the way.i can see that your tube isn't stock.wasn't sure if the chrome tube you have is designed for a subaru with abs. i should be able to buy just the tube.or i could see about modifing the stock tube.
  19. you can tell that i haven't had much to do with the older subies cause i think that the was the back gate opens is cool along with the way the bumper is split into three sections. it could also mean that i'm fascinated by all the subie things that i haven't yet experienced. by the way good luck and two thumbs up
