ain't it fun drivin a slow car fast? er... cept for those mountain passes where gravity seems to win most of the time... -
oops.. i reread your post shadow and you probably searched USING the Napa numbers previously posted.. my bad... i think its kind of funny what they chose to call these things.. seeing these truckers going into the store and requesting "wiper snuggies" is kind of humorous..
-
Napa #'s are listed a few posts back.. and thanks for the pics..
-
thank you for saying it again... ACE was rather low on springs and i couldn't find one that matched.. i'll have to go look for that wiper thing you mentioned...and i use RAIN X as well, but it doesn't really solve the problem. helps, yes, but doesnt fix it..
-
thanks gotta go do some rainy day laundry and theres an ACE across the street..ill see if they have a spring that matches...

i have some bfg control t/a's on mine... great tire for a good price.. and good reviews on tirerack.com.. get some new tires, get the valve covers fixed, new struts, then exhaust.. should be a great ride for ya.. good luck id also swap out all the fluids, filters, and plugs.. this could help your mpg..

i bent them a little bit, but doesnt seem to help..can the springs lose tension over time??

Well, we're gettin some much needed rain now. So, im having a bit of difficulty with my wipers. Sitting or at lower speeds they clear the glass OK, but higher speeds on the hiway cause the blades to make less contact with the glass and it just smears the stuff... v. bad visibility. ive tried 3 different wiper blades to no avail. passenger side is a bit better, but drivers side is absolutely horrible. Any ideas, suggestions?? Thanks!

well, do you have a spare o2 sensor you can swap in to see if thats the prob? sounds like your injectors should be fine, as they were professionally serviced. hmmmm...
-
how were the injectors cleaned? those bottles of cleaner you throw in the gas tank don't work too well if they are really gummed up. injectors could also be leaky as well..

K&N's have a high flow rate, but less filtration. Napa Gold is a good filter, as is the cheapo Supertech filter at Wal Mart. Mine seems to really thrive with the Castrol GTX 10-30/Napa combo..
-
well, i had a plugged cat on a pickup that did the same thing..but could be fuel, vacuum leak, fouled plugs, etc.. good luck..
-
you could always try a couple dealers to see who's feeling the most generous.. but, some places will give different apr's, $$ for trade in's etc, so be careful regarding these variables when adding up the true cost of the car.. i remember reading an article on cars.com or autotrader.com regarding what dealers do regarding "hidden costs" etc.. when selling a new car.. if i can find it somewhere ill post it. it was a pretty good read, written buy a reporter who went undercover and worked for 3 diffrent car dealers. good luck.

yep, dem lights truly do suck... im actually debating whether or not i'm going to mount 2 more lights on my front bumper for those after dark highway runs. waaay too many deer, elk, etc to contend with...

Well, put in new filter and oil (castrol gtx) 2 weeks ago, and mpg has gone up 3-4mpg. Now running 28-30mpg 80%city/20%hiway drivin. 87 octane is up to 1.97 now, so every bit helps.. -
whew...thanks for the link to bob's oil site.. i think i spent over two hours last night going cross eyed reading many of the posts over there..i think i'll probably still go with what ive been using (napa gold and castrol gtx combo), but am still open to better suggestions..

i'm not sure if i'd wait 25,000 between changes. at minimum, i'd at least swap out a new filter here and there to keep the oil relatively clean.
