  1. last time we went to the barrens in Feb, we had lots of ice, and one of us hit a tree!, lol never, ever ever try to cross an ice flat too fast!
  2. oh my isnt it annoying! i had a 07 legacy to use for work for awhile, and hell that thing was annoying, thank god that car is gone from my hands, lol
  3. ATTENTION! Problem fixed for everyone with the same problem as i had: the only way to solve this problem is to change your clutch pack and gears. The gear on mine was sheared off from the drive shaft and i needed a whole new assembly. Luckily AWD Inc was able to find me a good used one, the rear tail housing. Replacement parts at the dealer are veryexpensive and that if you can still find them. As Tom mentioned, take care of that torque bind before its too late, or you'll end up without AWD.
  4. hmm now you brought up something i've experienced before... a bad O2 sensor on EJ22T will have the symptoms of a bad ignitor
  5. I had an 1996 impreza outback and a regular impreza wagon, and the only difference were the tires, you are correct, no spacers or suspension... although they may have changed that in 2000
  6. :-\ i just had the same problem, and it turned out to be the used CV axle i got from the junk yard, and i really thought it was the U joint... so check your axles first they may be on the way out
  7. def sounds like a bad ignitor, that thing by the firewall, however check your grounds too, the connections tend to get all messy during winter season have u checked your knock sensor? finally try a different set of cables
  8. as far as i know the light is not supposed to come on unless you are really low in gas, something like 2 or 3 gallons... maybe the bulb in the dash is out? or the fuel level sender is bad check those out
  9. Hey Paul I'm up for Pine Barrens, I got maps and i got a good knowledge of the place now.. however, i am still in the process of fixing up the AWD and lifting the legacy, i should have it done by the end of this month!
  10. 9F when i left work tonight here is the pic on my compass pack http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=18764&cat=500
  11. it should since its the same design, headlights and the outback is a legacy on steroids
  12. hey Gloyale i had the same problem and today i had my rotors resurfaced, it took care of the problem, check your rotors... my car had a wable that you could see the front of the car going left and right under acceleration
  13. i've seen this before but cant quite remember if it was the rotors or balancing of the tires... ohh yeah rotors! wable at low speed or acceleration... have your rotors cut it should take care of the problem
