  1. Car info would help. I'd get a second recommendation as many times its not the CAT.
  2. Did you check the back of the drivers side head? The port may be plugged in which case you can pull the plug out and put the ERG on.
  3. Could be fuel, leaking injector, filter, pump. I'd also pull the plugs and inspect them, as nothing I know would cause this amount of water (if that is what it was) to shoot out the exhaust. If it's a head gasket leak, you should smell the Anti freeze when its running. The condition of the plugs will tell you what's going on. Bad Gas? Any Check Engine Light, if so get the codes.
  4. PB Blaster the nuts, let it soak. I like to use tubing wrenches to break thing loose. The plug could be at the head as well. Yep, pretty much have to pull it apart to clean it.
  5. 95 2.2 with EGR will bolt and plug right in. Search the site for 2.2 swap, there's tons of info.
  6. For the dual cam 2.2 engines, I take an old timing belt and cut it then wrap it around the cam and crank gear and pinch the belt together in the middle with a c-clamp or vise grips. Works great for breaking the bolt and torquing the bolt when you put it back together. Hope this helps
  7. Sounds like it could be the compressor going. Try jumping the pressure switch at the dryer, also check for bubbles Try jumping the compressor relay in the engine compartment fuse/relay box. If it kicks in with the pressure switch, you need to service the system
  8. Look on both sides of the center tunnel up front under the dash. The cables may not be connected or the control panel could be bad. The passenger side controls the heat The drivers side controls where the air is going
  9. So if you turn on the AC all is fine In the defrost mode, the AC compressor does not come on? When this happens, if you turn on the AC does the compressor start to work? If so, I'd say you had a bad control panel.
  10. I picked up a 93 Legacy Sedan and the sunroof is out of adjustment. It works and will open and close, but when I run it closed the right side on the rear is 1/2" down when the left side is flush with the roof line. If I continue to run it further close the Left side is a 1/2" high when the right side is flush.
  11. Does it idle OK? Did you check the TPS with a meter to see if its within specifications and there are no opens? Check the vac hoses as well
  12. The TY sticker was there but no numbers on it. I guess I'll just get the drive line hooked up and mark the tires and with one side jacked front and back see if they rotate together. It would be nice if it's a match. Dealer said the rear end was a 4.11 on the 95 by the VIN
  13. The complete rear subframe is easy to drop, struts , driveshaft, e-Brake cables and 6 bolts.
  14. PB Blaster on the alignment pins, let is soak. You can drive the pins FWD the passenger side will drive all the way through if needed, the drivers side will hit the engine case. If it's still stuck, drive a small wedge between the cases at a non critical area. That usually pops it. PS before you do any of this make sure all the bolts and nuts are off.
  15. I had a 5sp manual trans from a 90-93, I think 92 sitting around. I installed it in a 95 Legacy (auto manual swap) and I need to get the right rear diff. I'm pretty sure they were all 3.9 can someone confirm. Thanks
  16. Look at the plugs, are the all the same color? They should all be very light tan if things are working correctly. Could be an Injector, Plug, Plug wire, bad compression
  17. Take it to most any autoparts place and they will read the codes for free. Just ask them for the code # and post them back here or search the USMB for that code/s. If it does not start in park try it in "N"
  18. Swapped to a manual trans, which requires a longer drive shaft. I forget if its the front half or rear half that is longer. The front bolts into the forward mid bearing mount points, where the auto trans used the rear mid bearing mount holes. Thanks
  19. I'm on my 10 PCI Kit, the belts have all been OK. With the non interference engines 95 and older it's not a concern. I have never had a problem with the PCI Kits and you can't beat the price.
  20. I'd pull the door panel and check the wiring going to the lock. Sounds like it's grounding out.
