I think I have one. It's the ejector pump that moves fuel from the drivers side of the tank to the passenger side were the fuel pump is. Lmdew2@gmail.com

This fellow drove over a mile marker and put a fist size hole in the tank. I've changed many 90 - 99 tanks but never a 2005. About the same? Thanks, Larry

Have you changed/flushed out the Trans Fluid. I was have some shift delays on my 2000 OBS Amsoil trans fluid greatly improved it.

Installed IAC Valve and gasket today. NGK Plugs and Plug Wires. Cam Sensor Replaced. Speedo Fixed. We'll see how it does.

Fixed a 99 Legacy today. Worked Great.

Thanks, cleaned the throttle body and the IAC valve. Pulled my spare intake IAC valve first. Saw the rubber gasket and it looked OK, so I went ahead an pulled the one off the car. Of course you were right, I should have had a new one on hand. The old ones were swelled to the point it would be a roll of the dice if you could get the IAC back on. Friday!

New Style IAC valve. Worth pulling to clean?

Thanks. Cleaned the Cam Sensor connector and plug as it will not come out without pulling the valve cover. Swapped a Crank sensor. Newer engine, not the old airbox MAF. Random dies from what she has told me. Larry

I help a friend get a 99 Legacy a couple of years ago. Lately it started to die at random times. It starts back up after a bit. No Codes set? Ideas? I hate just to change parts, but I do have spare sensors. I'm thinking start with Cam and Crank Sensor. I would think if the sensor was out it would have a code set. Or change out the MAF? You can lock up the flex plate - Auto Trans or Flywheel - Manual Trans and torque the bolt. The other option is to use a quality strap wrench on the balancer to keep the engine from turning. As GD said 150 ft lbs. I use to take them to 125 ft lbs.

Your pictures show you in the circuit when measuring voltage. Never a good idea to be touching the pins with skin/fingers. Check out Load Pro on youtube. Great tool, to add to your meter.

Fuel Pump Relay. Check all battery and ground connections.

As long as the Rear diff matches the Trans you are good.

Make sure you are not on Highbeam!

Pull the rear plastic inner panel off. You wll see the latch in the center. There are a couple of wires there. The wiring from the FSM is good. You might also want to talk to the fellow that did the work and see how he replaced the rear hatch.
