  1. Check to make sure the little screw on the back of the rotor hasn't worked its way out.
  2. they will probably lowball you at first.. when my 88 turbowagon got wrecked they told me they were only going to give ne $800 at first.. So I showed them a Kelley Blue Book statement that said it would cost $3650 to replace my car from a dealership. That was the high quote. Edmunds and NADA were lower, so we settled on $2400.. Keep in mind that this was an 88 GL-10 TurboWagon in good shape. PS.. I bought the car back from them for $25:D
  3. Thats just the way it is.. you learn to love it:D
  4. Factory Service Manual.. Written by FHI(Fuji Heavy Industries, parent company of Subaru) BTW, changing to a stick isn't so bad.. the white wagon in the sig below used to be an auto.. but its all better now:D
  5. No auto shift kits that I am aware of for these cars Best manual is the FSM.. best place to find them is here or eBay
  6. Let me clarify.. Everything I have ever read states thet the turbo ona an EA82t is only good for 15 psi.. perhaps the engine could take more.. but I doubt it with out some strengthening
  7. you won't be able to bosst 17psi at all.. comfortably or otherwise.. EA82T is only good for 15psi, and even that is so-so what year is your car.. you know how to deal with the 9psi fuel cutoff?
  8. little phillips head screw on the back of the rotor.. don't strip it
  9. Never tried an RX7 IC.. Under the hood in the spare tire are seems to work well. hodd scoop is a good idea to increase cool air flow around the IC
  10. russ.. Don't want to sound pushy, but PICS!PICS!PICS!
  11. Here's a recent thread that may answer some questions http://usmb.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6141
  12. I saw at autozone today that they have a universal adapter for $15 that looks like it will fit our MAFs
  13. Do a search fo "six lug" there is tons of stuff here about it.
  14. so it does.. sleep schedule is messed up.. wasn't fully awake when I read it
  15. Thats the best deal out there! Did you check for a spare too?
  16. Can't get to the fork with everything assembled.. not that part of it at least. Clutch cable isn't terribly hard.. can be somewhat frustrating though.. give yourself a couple of hours to do it the first time.. second time it will take less than half the time
  17. Cool Idea. I would buy one i think. You mentioned a music club.. what sort of music club?
  18. Yup. It will swap right in. My condolences on your 87.. I happen to like the 87s
  19. Even if they were changed again, it would almost be time to change them yet again.. may as well do it now.. do the waterpump while your at it.
  20. So do you still have the GL-10 carcass? And where did you find a Turbo car down here? I have seen very few of them here.. and the 4 that I know of (mine included) all came from out of state I would love to have a look at your Brat. You going to be around this weekend?
  21. Given the hesitation you described, I would guess the alternator is going kaput. Its likely the diodes are toast.. would still charge at the right voltage, but would allow the battery to drain when off. I would slap another alt on there and see if the problem goes away.. these things go bad all the time
  22. WooHoo!! Someone else in North texas!! You're right up the street from me! I'm in McKinney near 121 and Lake Forest on a side note.. there is no 91 GL-10.. last one was in 89..but the Loyale came in a turbo model in 90 and maybe 91.. but who cares.. an EA82T Brat! Cool!
