What size punch are you using? It should be a 3/16th punch. Anything smaller and it will spread the roll pin open and may damage it so it hangs up inside the axle.

Wat? -
But its a PITA to try and twist it out of there, isnt it? Its alot quicker to jack the engine up a little to make the job easier.

Got a pic of it? I might know someone who has one and might be able to help. But I need to know if its the same thing. -
Be a good idea to remove the turbo, it has water and oil lines connected to the head that need removed. That bracket can be a pita, soak the bolts with PB Blaster first.

You missed that part :-p

Just bought an 88 GL Hatch with RX EA82T
Turbone replied to FJason80's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
The Sedan is normally a 4dr, this car is called a 3dr so it wont get mixed up with the earlier EA81 Hatchback. They did have a 3dr, on demand 4wd with a turbo, so I'm not sure if this is a swap. Dont see to many of them, but they are out there. Theres a idle/air screw on the back of the throttle body, adjustable from the top. It may have a black rubber plug in it, but most times its gone. Might want to check the timing on it also. Theres a green test connector that needs to be plugged in to check timing. It could either be in the engine bay by the drivers side strut tower/windshield wiper or under the steering column next to the ECU. -
Take one of the other nuts off the back of the light, I think theres 5 on each one. Is the rubber gasket the one on the door, or the one that surrounds the door jamb? Should be able to find a good one down here in a wrecking yard.

You can change the wiring at the relay, which I believe is under the dash. I dont recall the exact location tho unfortunately. The wiring diagram will tell you which wire is the one from the light switch. Just need to swap that out with a powered wire, dont forget a fuse in there. -

Run some Seafoam thru the fuel system, the injectors could still be gummed up. -

I agree with the Seafoam treatment, etc. But if its running better at boost, you probably have a vac leak somewhere. Get a can of ether and check all the intake hoses and around the base of the intake manifold.

I installed Legacy seats in my last Brat. It was a while ago, so its a little hard to remember it all exactly (CRS). I believe theres a inch difference between the track widths. I cant remember if the seat rail was narrow or wide tho. But I removed the tracks from both seats and installed the EA81 rails onto the Lego seat bottom. To get the rails off the Lego can be a pita, it took some drilling to get some spot welds off. Then I made up a couple of spacers and used them on the outer rail. When installed I noticed that the seats had a recline to it. It can be adjusted with shims, but I left them as is.
