Well, its not pretty
But its a start. 95 L 1.8. Have to tear everything down/apart and put it back with "newer" parts. Its been completely stripped inside, it only has the front seats right now. I do have a source for parts (thanks to Qman & PIA) and I hope to have it on the RallyX course soon. Want to keep it stock this year so I can get a feel for it and it would be beneficial to race that class from what I understand right now. So, without further comments, other than more pics will be coming tomorrow....... Cost me $500 And yes, it runs.

Subaru Differential 101?
Pretty much everything said is true, with the exception of the 4EAT having most of the LSD's. You would need to put the LSD innards into your 3.9 case for it to work. You do not want to run different ratios on the tranny and rear diff. Theres a write up in the USRM for the swap.

Subaru Differential 101?
For what I've gathered the M/T's are 3.9, unless they are from a fulltime box. Then they are 3.7. Most, if not all, of the AT's are 3.7. This is for EA's and ER's. I'm not up on the EJ's...yet.

Teach me about ea82's and lsd's...please.
What you ultimatly want is a RX tranny. Fulltime 4wd with D/R and diff lock. You get to cruise around in 4wd and have the ability to use low range in town. Makes it have much more pep at lower speeds and just drop it into to high when you hit 50mph or so.

Only like them when it turns you green And what makes you think that the NE doesnt get cold wet weather like we do? I broke out my propane heater yesterday, so we could stay a little warm while working on Briggs XT. And almost caught myself on fire Was weariing a old work jacket that has a poly liner in it and had the heater to my back. I happened to look down at the ground and saw a piece of something on fire. Gee, what could that be? I pulled the bottom of the jacket out to look and yup, I was smokin. Glad we had that inch or two of snow

Digi Dash Questions
Hey Pat, nice to see your still kickin! Give me a call sometime? Did any of those dashes that I gave you work? I could use one right now :-p And I think I found the culprit of the digi demise. I still need to do a on line search for the part (NEC) but it should be readily available.

I got tagged
Either I need to get a beater, or I'm doing something wrong :-\ Maybe my next acquisition will remedy this

I have a problem with putting the motor back in my car
It should take you 10-15min a side to pull the axles. Sometimes, getting the motormounts back in once the engine's in is a buggar.

Turbo O2 sensor?
What about your timing? Have you advanced it at all? Or did I miss that
-
Going to pick up another Subaru tonight
I would say its the timing. Make sure you plug the green test connectors together before setting the timing. I sometimes forget and have to redo it. They should be under the steering column. And there could be a possibility of a clogged cat.

WCSS10 Location and Date Set!
Believe me, it crossed my mind. Plus thers a $ issue. Just a general admission ticket is $55, plus if theres swag to buy.... I'm not sure about the line up yet. It might be the clincher on whether I go as to who will be playing. Ok, heres the line up: The band will consist of Anderson, Squire, Howe and White, with Oliver Wakeman. Oliver is Ricks son. Which should be ineresting.

New Project "Power Ru"
A D/R tranny is not designed for RWD. It will eventually eat the teeth off the ring gear in the front diff. It has nothing to do with torque or HP. The gear set is not designed for it. Been there, done that.

coupla things.....
I dont recall from your previous posts if the car has had a tuneup yet? Start by changing the fuel filter, then the usual tuneup parts. Then check over all the hoses to make sure they are tight, ie hose clamps.

WCSS10 Location and Date Set!
Well, I just found out today that I can get pre-sale tickets for a old "Super Group" for a concert on Aug 15th :-\ The group is YES. I'm still a big fan and I've wanted to see them since the early 70's. This sucks If WCSS was close this year, it wouldnt be a issue. But making the drive down to Astoria after a concert would be rough. Unless I thought I was back in the 70's and I ..................nevermind
