  1. Nooooo, I drove this. I thought about maybe the next trip out I could trailer it. But I'm still debating it. Its a dangerous ride, I want to come back in one piece.
  2. No, that would be a con job:grin: Glad I'm 3ooomi away:rolleyes: And can probably get away with it......once;)
  3. Heres a good example of a PNW Brat. http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/car/384580316.html
  4. Here be the land of Rob. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=bonney+lake,+wa&ie=UTF8&z=12&iwloc=addr&om=1 Oh yeah, may have a XT dash to go back your way:rolleyes:
  5. I dont agree with that comment........................... Sorry, didnt have anything better to do.....or say:rolleyes:
  6. Good job Bos! Wish I could go..... I see BGD made a appearance on the thread:rolleyes: Sorry for the HJ....couldnt resist:-p
  7. Mine was a 92. The most trouble free vehicle I have ever owned.
  8. Eh, theres a couple of threads about it here. But you can go to http://xt6.proboards50.com/index.cgi#general Its a temp site thats been set up.
  9. I've wanted a Willy's truck for.............30yrs? Maybe I'll get one of those instead of a Yota;)
  10. Glad we have a forum for stuff like this now, as I'm not just a Soob nut. First one is for Moosens:-p Yes, thats a girls pink Big Wheel. Some people will try anything on the Dragon.......and pay the price:rolleyes: On a average, 3 people a week crash on this road. There was a death while we were there, somebody on a trike. 318 corners on a 11mi road.
  11. The Mazda truck was traded a few years back for my lifted Hatch. That was a nice truck too:cool: 2600i 4WD ext cab. Took it up to Evans Crk before I had a offroad Soob and ran 311 with the Hatch Patrol. This pic is from the day of that run.
  12. Haha..........might just work:-p Have to wait and see what happens after the 1st of the month. I'm really broke after that run to TN last week:rolleyes:
  13. Have you set the timing also? 20+/- BTDC if I recall. There is a mixture screw behind the plenum/TB, you need to move the PCV hoses out of the way and use a long screwdriver to get to it.
  14. Lol, thanks Connie. I want to know what you editted out tho:-p Paul, I'm 30min fron Tacoma, maybe 40min from SeaTac. Seattle I can make in 45min if theres no traffic. I'm 30min from Evans Creek and maybe 45 min from Mt Rainier National Park. I would say I smack in the middle of wherever I want to go in a short period. Here's a Google map of my town. Just zoom out and you can see how close I am to everything. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=bonney+lake,+wa&ie=UTF8&z=12&om=1
  15. That wasnt aimed at you, it was for me. 75Subie and I have a little disagreement about buying and shipping cars to the East Coast, thats all.
  16. IMHO, toss em and go to conventional. I dont know if you can repair a rip that big in the diaphram or not, none of them sound like they are in any condition to last much longer. Do the swap and quit worrying about wether they will stay aired up or not. Last week I drove on flat air suspesion for 50mi. This was my beginning of a 6,ooomi journey. I almost turned around and went home (to get my RX). But it decided to be nice to me and air up. Still havent attempted any troubleshooting....yet.
  17. I agree, wholeheartedly:headbang: Ask the gang from the Dragon run how old they think I look? In the camplight:-p
  18. Thanks for saving one from the east coast rust:rolleyes:
  19. Nice looking car. BUT, I want to see pics under the hood. You listed all the mods, but no pics!:-p
  20. Ok, enough H/J'n already:-p We have plenty to do here in the PNW, just have a problem finding time to go do it:cool:
  21. Some of us "Old Timers" have FSM's to deal with the little eccentricities of some models. That includes the finiky air suspension from the GL-10 wagons that came equipped with it and most XT/XT6's. I have had 2 XT6's with converted suspension and currently have a XT with it. It likes to deflate if it sits for a couple of hours and I havent checked for leaks yet. One of my XT6's, prior to me converting it to standard susp, was a bear to diagnose. Everything leaked, the lines, the selanoids, even one of the shocks. I bypassed the puter and added schrader valves to air the front and rear seperatly. But when I found the selanoids leaking, that was the last straw:mad: I'm almost afraid to touch my XT:rolleyes:
  22. Heres the only other ride I have. Its all I need to go along with the other 5 Soobs I have:-p
  23. Would have been easier to replace the whole door. Its not worth all the labor when it can be replaced.
