  1. Pull off the steering wheel colomn plastic. On the oppisite side of the ignition theres a relay, held on by 2 small screws. Remove it and then you can use anything to turn the relay and sart the car. This post will self destruct after the original thread starter reads it and replies:-p
  2. Now how would you like to deliver the mail in that?
  3. It would take me 1/2 day to make it over the pass in my Hatch:rolleyes:
  4. It must be reeeeaaal slow. He didnt make it to the Dragon this year:-p
  5. The trim piece around the radio and inst panel? Yeah, its a pain. You need to remove the little rectangular piece of plastic next to the clock/trip computer. Theres a screw in there, remove it. You practically need to remove the radio and eq to remove the piece. I think theres two screws on the very bottom under the radio that holds the trim. I think the rest of it, around the panel, just snaps in. But its usually really brittle, so be easy with it.
  6. Pics man, pics! Sounds just like my red XT. I would look at the disty/cap/rotor if the belts are ok.
  7. Normally, that would be correct. But with the site down his password means nothing and cant be used anywhere else (hopefully).
  8. I no longer have a part that needs to go east. But if you guys still want to drop by, feel free to do so.
  9. Its not necessary to remove the windshield. It makes it easier but not required. You will need to get one of those 90deg angled phillips screwdrivers, or a 1/4 drive rachet with a short bit on a 1/4 socket. Whatever you use, be careful. You can crack the windshiled if you get to aggressive with a tool and smack the glass.
  10. That was the most useful out of all the replies, thanks. Ed will get his core, not matter what I do. Guess my best bet for the future of my existing AC units is to just get them converted and say the heck with r12.
  11. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=65885&highlight=dash
  12. I bet it was due to the pressure from that spring. Wheres BGD when you need him;)
  13. Pretty good article here about the "greenhouse effect". I dont want this post to turn into a big enviromental issue and get sent to OT. So lets keep it to ow to get it out of the system without venting it out please. Artificially created chlorofluorocarbons are the strongest greenhouse gas per molecule. However, low concentrations in the atmosphere reduce their overall importance in the enhancement of the greenhouse effect. Current measurements in the atmosphere indicate that the concentration of these chemicals may soon begin declining because of reduced emissions. Reports of the development of ozone holes over the North and South Poles and a general decline in global stratospheric ozone levels over the last two decades has caused many nations to cutback on their production and use of these chemicals. In 1987, the signing of the Montreal Protocol agreement by forty-six nations established an immediate timetable for the global reduction of chlorofluorocarbons production and use. This is where I got it from. http://www.physicalgeography.net/fundamentals/7h.html
  14. Well, that would be all fine and dandy...BUT...this compressor is a core return for Ed and I just wanted to be able to recycle the stuff without to much of a hassle. Seeing how the car is not going to roll anywhere without it being on a flatbed:-\
  15. Anyone have any ideas on getting the r12 out of a AC system (without going to a Shop)? I really dont want to vent it to the atmosphere and would love to have some on hand to replenish the systems I have that havent been converted. Is it worth it?
  16. Its got to be white? Your making this tough for me:-p
  17. Wow, took you long enough to post the pics:-p Nice ones tho.
  18. Do you reallly want to keep his body? Or have something better? As in, no rust:headbang:
  19. Darwin is unbiased. He's global also. http://www.darwinawards.com/
  20. Wow, only 3? Must be from all the police in the area.
  21. Somewhere in the PNW. No location or date has been set yet.
  22. Hard to find the info in the FSM, but I think its 10atm. Dont know what that translates to her offhand, but probably more useful to you in EU. Any patch may have to be vulcanized (heated) to bond with the diaphram. Its possible a good professional tire patch kit would work.
  23. Bring it on! Please deliver in person:Flame: Hope you guys are saving money for next years WCSS10. It going to be a good one. And I'm excepting donations for next years Dragon run:-p
