  1. What package was that? I must not have read all the options, cause I didnt see one in that format (for internet?)
  2. What he said^^^ (I just love it when other people answer questions for me:rolleyes: ) The RX isnt even to the 1K mark yet:-\ But I'm working on it. Now that I'm back I've been driving it daily. It was veeerrrry nice to get into something with a little more HP:-p
  3. Hmmm, theres tons of stuff to do here. But you just got a new job there:-\
  4. DITTO^^^ If your that worried about it, do something. You said you have all kinds of equipment in the basement, use it! Change your diet, eat less. I dropped almost 15lbs in 6mo and I'm feeling much better. Just need to get a little more muscle tone back and then I'll be ready for the dating scene, haha:rolleyes:
  5. Speaking of towns with funny names.... I was traveling thru Kentucky (I think) and saw a sign for "Bucksnort". After I was done LMAO, I got the camera out to take a pic of the offramp sign but half of it was covered by a tree. I almost turned around to go by it again:rolleyes:
  6. I would also like to thank Tim and Vickie for thier hospitality, twice:clap: Having a shower on the way home made my trip home alot more bearable, if you know what I mean:-p
  7. Alot of times what happens is the graphite brushes will leave a bunch of dust on the armature inside. When mine did it, I would give a couple of whacks with the handle (wood) of my hammer. It would knock the dust down so it would make contact. After a while it wouldnt work, so I took my compressor and blew into the motor. It displaced a bunch of dust, but the problem returned after a while. The motor needs to be pulled off and the brushes inspected. Replace if they are getting real short. If they look good, just get all the dust out of the motor and it should be fine for a long time. Or until the brushes need replacing.
  8. Single Range GL-10 Turbo wagon. Same car, with added cupholder in vent. Dual Range RX. 89 XT6 AT
  9. Hard headed? Thats saved my arse more times than I can count:headbang: I've traveled in foriegn countries by myself before, I think I can handle a 6Kmi cross country trip:-p It's always a learning experiance tho. With someone with me next time, they better help keep me awake:rolleyes: Whoever/whenever makes the trip over here is going to be in for a real treat;) Actually, the texting kept my brain going. A little distracting but hey, not to many other cars on the road at that time either. I almost stopped at a store in town here today. Bunch of High School kids doing a car wash, but I didnt have any cash on me at the time. Hopefully they will be around tomorrow so I can get the bug guts off the car, its nasty.
  10. He will be 16 then. Already a head taller than me (not hard to do) and outweighs me (a little harder). But ever since he was a baby, the girls have been after him:rolleyes: He has about twice as much hair now:rolleyes:
  11. I hate driving thru these areas at night, you never know whats going to jump out in front of you. This is a peice of the tumbleweed that scared the crap out of me. This was after hitting the coon. I stopped 4 or 5 times during the night to take quick naps. By Tues morning I hit Billings, MT and got some breakfast and a MOCHA:banana: I drove all the way past Spokane before I had to take another nap. Rolled into the driveway at 6:30PM.
  12. Yeh, I'm going to try and get something going for EC in late Aug or Sept. Would love to make a weekend out of it. Probably going to head up to Zaps hideout the 2 weekend in Aug for a weekend gig. Let me know if there are any specific dates in late Aug or Sept your interested in.
  13. The light will come on if the brushes in the motor start to wear out. But at least these are available from other sources, just need to cross reference them from a place that works on electrical motors. If someone knows of a auto chemical analyst, they can do a breakdown on the ingredients. Then you can find out what other fluids are compatable out on the market.
  14. Temp site is up. http://xt6.proboards50.com/index.cgi#general If you need more info, please do a search.
  15. That was starting to get me a little worried too:-p Thinking to self....Wait a sec, I'm just giving her away. I'm not ready to get married again....oh snap....
  16. Montana. But its not all like that, its got some hills/mountains also.
  17. Or that it could have had air suspension and thats what the fuse controlled.
  18. If you plan on having a shop do the work, beware. Most of them dont know sqaut about Subaru's, especially the older ones. The disty rotor is held on by a screw, most mechs would get pissed off and try and yank it off, damaging the shaft/disty. The front brake caliper pistons need to be turned in, not pushed when replacing pads. The XT's are unique body wise, and the 88's and up had the spider intake. The tranny rpm's are normal for 4th and 5th. Depending upon the mileage, the timing belts might need to be changed (every 60K). If the mech has any strange questions or wants to charge a unusually high price to do something, get your car our of there fast. Or come here and ask first. Btw, I rolled thru Billings yesterday morning in my red 89 XT. On my way home from TN. Just over 6000mi, it ran almost flawlessly.
  19. Heres a couple of teaser pics, got lots more I still need to get on my puter. The newly weds. My XT next to Frankenwedge. A cool pic I took as the sun was coming up in the East behind me.
  20. If I had known this before I left, I could have picked them up on my way back. You do have my cell number, right? You did know I was on the road, right?
  21. Might need to clear the codes also. The easy way to do it is disconnect the battery overnight.
  22. Did you see how much clearance it had underneath:eek:
  23. C'mon Jeff, got to post the best one;) "Use your best judgment, Jeff"
