  1. If the xt6.net site wasnt down there would be plenty of pics to post:-\ Maybe the owner would be so kind to post some?????
  2. Did somebody say Bug?
  3. I may be in a tent also. Funds are drying up do to other circumstances (son going to Atlanta, church camp, etc) So staying in a room with Mike might be out for me. I got Rocky's parts loaded in the XT, plus the wing and rear bumper valance, what a pita:rolleyes: I may have room for a paddle tho;) You girls better behave yourselfs:Flame:
  4. A cutting torch will make anything fit:grin:
  5. He might just be off his meds. I know that bi-polar folks can get this way. Or he might just have a perverse sense of humor and he gets a kick out of trying to baffle people. But I dont think this is the case because he gets quite upset when anyone confronts him about his intelligence.
  6. Wikapedia isnt where I got all my info from. Do a your own search if you dont believe me. A 68 Kadette could probably beat a EA82T:rolleyes:
  7. Obviously you dont know much about Opels. From 68 and up they came with a 1.9L engine with 102hp. With a few mods (Weber) it was a pretty quick car. I had several 68 to 73 wagons, long before I got into Soobs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_GT
  8. The Opel was built by a guy in MN, who happened to be a engineer. The car was hit by a train in the rear and he wanted to do something different. The build is almost 20yrs old and back then a Allison engine was pretty cheap. He had vid of it at a local air strip, he never got out of 1st gear(stock tranny) and was doing 60mph. And to answer your question........why not? Look at some of the mods we do to our Soobs:-p
  9. How bad are the cracks? They are only trash if the crack reaches into the exhaust port, thats where the water jacket is. They will work ok with small cracks between the valves.
  10. I ended up having to winch myself the rest of the way up. That mud and the deep ruts were not letting me to the top:rolleyes: PM coming.
  11. About 5yrs ago Corky and I went out to the Olympic Peninsula to check out a car that was on Ebay. We were interested in how they managed to get a 12cyl Allison engine into a 1970 Opel GT. We spent the afternoon with the owner and looked at the car and asked alot of questions. Dont know if the car ever sold, never got back to the guy, but it had a pretty low reserve ($3000 I think). Anyway, since I figured out how to download my VHS onto Youtube you can enjoy what Corky and I witnessed that day. Unfortunatly he was unable to keep it running due to fuel delivery and low batteries, you get the idea. Btw, this car was actually street legal:eek: I have a bunch of pics, just need to locate them.
  12. Sweet. Load it onto a CD and I'll pay for mailing. Did you try and come up the middle with the ruts? Or off the side like my last attempt? I know that Ryan Douthit from SubieSport took vid of me going thru the "pond". I wonder if theres going to be vid from the show by the mag? WRX2FFU, which pop? Theres the one where I shifted into 1st gear before sliding into the ruts, then theres the one where it pops after I hit the rut and go up on 2(?) wheels. Thats when the axle snapped.
  13. You better bring Rocky. If I have to haul parts for him across half the country, he better get them in person:-p Lets see.... Carpet. Passenger door panel. Passenger seatbelt retractor. Anything else? (Besides a new car).
  14. Shouldnt need the t-belts, I just installed new ones. But you never know:rolleyes: Cant imagine a failure of the pulleys, but have encountered the XT6 crankpulley failure firsthand. Might throw a coil into the mix just for S&G's:-p
  15. Good Lord:rolleyes: That should get him probation, if not banned at NASIOC. That was flagrent BS on someone else's thread. Its not like he started his own thread of BS:-\
  16. I've been running a MSD for a couple years now in my RX.

    Of course:cool:
  18. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for Rocky. I want to see you guys at the Dragon. I want to be able to give you away.
  19. You got a punching bag, dont you?:-p No, not Tommy:rolleyes: Old parts do have a tendency to act up and die, dont forget that. I plan on bringing a spare part for everything on my XT......well almost;) Rad hoses, top and bottom. Coil. Alternator. Timing belts. AC and Alt belts. And maybe a few other things I cant think of right now.
  20. No, but a Brat might be able to:-p With some good stiff shocks.
  21. Connie, have you checked for codes? The ECU is in the trunk by the right rear speaker. Plug the green connectors together and the black ones together. Tell us how many blinks you get and we can look the codes up. Remember, long blink is 10 and short is 1.

Bullshiat. Thats all I wheel....for now:rolleyes: I just spent 2 straight days (almost 3)wheeling at WCSS9. Me and the Hatch need a break. I need to figure out how to get a broken lower shock bolt removed, but it still wheels. Just not as hard.
  23. Finally got some vid uploaded to YouTube. Only took me about 6hrs to do it all:rolleyes:
  24. Heh, thats not the whole tree either. The branches got stuff hanging off of them also. SuperBikes on Speed did a show where they were at the Dragon. Lots of crazy stuff I tell ya;) And no, a lifted Subaru is not a good idea:rolleyes:
