Ok, my bad...typo. You know that should have read EA82T. What you did was at the cheapest end of the spectrum. You didnt put forged pistons, larger injectors, etc into your project. And you drove it like you stole it:-p AND, If I remember correctly, it was a SPFI block, right? What I'm trying to say (again), instead of throwing all that money into a poorly designed engine, for around the same price (dont quote me on that) you could swap in a engine that would increase your HP and reliability ten fold. And that would still be stock!

I'm not going to touch that one:-p After today the fleet will consist of... 84 Brat 86 Hatch (modded) 87.5 Turbo XT AWD 89 XT GL 4WD 89 XT6 89 RX 01 HD And NO parts cars:banana:

SuberDave has succesfully done newer gen transplants and has it all documented. When are you guys going to learn to leave a crappy/unmodifiable engine alone?

Have you seen a therapist? Not the physical type, you know what I mean. Sometimes they can actually help. What your suffering from is "Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome". The same thing that soldiers get when they come back from combat. There are ways to deal with it, I've had to more than once. Fear is a mind killer. If you let it get a foot hold, your going to have to work real hard to defeat it. Oh yeah, I grew up in SoCal and learned how to drive on the freeways there.

Just need to pull the spring out of the valve I think. Unless its a thermo sensor...I cant remember either. But I do have the FSM EA81T manual on the shelf in front of me. Gee....I gues I will just stretch the ole arm out and.........get back to you:-p Yup, its a thermovalve. You migh5t be able to pull it out and replace it with a plug. That should allow oil to pass thru. I'm going to scan it and post a pic of the schecmatic. It may be a little more complicated than that.

I assume one is EA81 and the other EA82. I have seen 3 different colors also. The 2 you have and blue.

I believe these are made to order. If you notice, almost all the liscense plates are blocked out. They could be representations of owners real cars.

Cut the end of the wiper off:-p J/K.... Have you measured it? Not sure what the length is supposed to be, but it could actually be to long. Or you can try and clock it back towards the bottom more. Thats about all you can do.
