  1. No its not. Its supposed to come on after the A/C kicks in and the extra cooling is needed. I've added this secondary fan on all my turbo cars and have it wired to come on the same time as the regular cooling fan. You may want to add a relay and seperate power to this curcuit, as it pulls more power off the curcuit and can overload it.
  2. And with a beautiful young boy now too;) That was so long ago, I couldnt remember if she got out or not. Didnt we use my old blue Hatch and try a Daisy Chain to pull you out? I think I had to quit because my clutch was burning up.
  3. We had a local Subaru Show yesterday, complements of NASIOC. It didnt turn out as a all Subaru show tho and a Supra ended up winning best car:-\ But I had 3 of the 4 Old School cars that showed up. As usual, the Hatch was a show stopper:grin: Patrick, do you have more pics of your Brat? That car is just beautiful and I need more pics for my screensaver:-p
  4. She was in the car when in he went in:-p I think she stayed in till he got pulled out far enough.
  5. You cant start a new thread from a thread thats already started. Need to be on the main forum page to do that.
  6. Alrighty then, not what I wanted to hear. But glad I got to hear it before I really started yanking on it:rolleyes: The more I looked at it, the more sence it made to pull it all out at the same time. So whats the trick on the axles? Is it anything like ours? Do I need to pull the bottom ball joint out, etc? I have a CD manual, I've already spent a couple of hours reading it. And of course it didnt mention anything about pulling both units together:-\
  7. So here I am pulling the hunk out of this thing, of course its a transvestite, I mean transverse engine:-p Do I have to pull the engine and tranny as one piece or can it be seperated? It does not look like I have enough room to slide the engine to the side enough so it can come off the tranny, etc. If the whole thing has to come out, it means more time... ie, more stuff to disconnect:-\ Man, how do I get talked into these jobs:rolleyes: Brian, if your reading this.......its the last time buddy:Flame: I'm sticking to Subaru. Know whats ironic? He has a newer V6 Mustang right now and I looked at the engine yesterday. I could have pulled that out in a couple of hours:rolleyes:
  8. Its because it wasnt done professionaly. It takes skill and the right tools to do it. danz, I got mine at X Treme Sound in Puyallup. Save your gas money and find a place up by you, there should be several places that can do it.
  9. They must make a couple of different models of that. I have some friends with a buggy like that and its got a Robin engine, and quite larger than whats in the CL one.
  10. Somebody said Brats floated:rolleyes: I believe the pics shown were taken by me;) And only one car at a time could get access to pull you out:-p One of the only times I've seen you stuck.
  11. Hmmmm, I may have to try that on my SVX. The key doesnt go all the way in either. Does the Leg key supposed to be pushed in, in order for it to be turned off all the way?
  12. Do me a favor? I heard there might be a SVX in Harrys. If its got grey interior and hasnt been cannabilized yet, grab the sun visors for me. I could ask for more, but I dont want you to spend all your time trying to get stuff off it:-p
  13. No problem, one of the Mods will move it sometime today.
  14. I havent seen that style yet, I think its neat. Has a look that makes the Brat fast:-p Being in SoCal, rust is not a issue. I'm going to put my topper back on because my bed is covered in surface rust now:-\
  15. I would say you have a record there. Most of our members from 03 have at least 100 posts:-p Welcome back. It sounds like a CV going out. To help better diagnose it, you will need to look at both ends of the axles. Check both of them for torn boots. Most likely the one thats torn is the bad CV.
  16. Hopefully, someone from your side of the country will have what you need. I do, but theres no way I'm going to try and ship one of those rear bumpers:-\ But I will ship the tail lights. Do you need both? And go here...http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1&sid=230f82ae140967de3052a23bb0d3c6ef and register. You will be in XT heaven.............well, close;) Nothing wrong with being here, its just that over there its XT specific, abd you might have a better chance of finding more parts closer to you.
  17. I had my RX tinted a few months back and asked about the colored tint. They said they wont use it because it fades after a couple of years. I dont know if this includes the metallic tint or not. I went legal on the doors and dark in the back. Cost me $240 total.
  18. Haha, thats funny. I'll have to mention that to the kid. We are suppposed to pick up the engine this Sat evening. Its a built up one, see my other thread.
  19. I went to get my SVX tested today. Didnt make it:-\ Went and put fresh gas in it and headed down the street for the bank. Got to the corner where the light was red and it stalled:rolleyes: Took 5 tries before it woudl keep running. After that it was leaking tranny fluid on the exhaust and smoking, so I said the heel with it. It needs lots of work still. Have fun with Pheeb, glad you got a good runner now. And now you can pimp out Rocky!
  20. Here you go. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50768 We have a online manual for alot of repairs and maintenance, its at the top right under USRM.
  21. Yup, forgot about Scotts Brat. Havent heard from in him for a long time, thats probably why:-\ BUT, mine does get abused offroad. Just not as often as I would like tho:rolleyes:
  22. Mmmm, better read this... http://www.dol.wa.gov/vehicleregistration/spcollector.html
