  1. All you have to do is bend the arm a little to get more pressure. Finding a new spring is difficult, but not immpossible. Good luck with the crack.
  2. They will work fine. Might get a little rub when turning and hitting a bump at the same time, massage the area with a hammer if it does.
  3. Singlecoil, your PM box is full. The diagram above should apply to all EA82 cars.
  4. Ok, for everyones future reference (its in my photo gallery, or just save to your puter)
  5. Its currently still in the parts car I have. The car was in a accident but was running fine prior to that, I drove the car a couple of miles to my house and it shifted fine. I have the engine in my RX right now. It would take me about an hour to pull, maybe less considering the engines removed already. No clutch/pressureplate or throwout bearing.
  6. I have one in very good condition that I will sell you for $100.
  7. Home Despot, I think it was about $17 for 25ft.
  8. For starters you probably need to seperate anything still attached the wheel. Remove any other obvious broken parts, if possible.
  9. Most Salesmen dont have a clue about old school Soobs. Ditto on the gearbox and drivetrain. Another ditto on the fenders, those tires are going to rub no matter how much you trim.
  10. Look under "Parts cars" and "Öthers" in the Subaru makes.
  11. Turbone

    Du U Dakar

I try and catch it on Speed on the weekends when they do a re-cap.
  12. Or you could go the cheap, redneck route and use garden edging like me.
  13. Here, I lightened this one up a little so we could see it better. Looking good! Wonder what it would look like next to mine? Hard to believe that was my first lifted rig. Now its all growed up... snif:-p
  14. Right, missing one side. There were the 2 rear pieces and on side piece and they were inside the car. It also had the rear wing, still attached.
  15. Ditto that. If you have seen this posted 3/4 times already, why are looking at it again for:rolleyes: Thats the spirit!
  16. Without seeing this car in person and looking at the drivetrain and engine, I wouldnt give $100 for the car. The engine could be bad and/or the drivetrain could be toast. From his explaination its looks/sounds like both are having problems. Look and ask lots of questions before buying this one.
  17. Contact Bill at WyoTech, he might be able to help you out. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/member.php?u=435 Or Russ, he's in Laramie. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/member.php?u=216
  18. Maybe it was one of those unbadged RX's. It did have the GL badge on the rear and no RX markings. Maybe they got the skirting off another car? Thats more likely.
  19. Yes, the drivers side. If you tried it on the other side, the wrench should have flipped over and caused noise/dents/broken windows, etc.
  20. Tac PAP update. Its dried out a little bit, tires still needed as stepping stones in certain rows:rolleyes: But the biggie is.............. 3 EA82 3 doors! First time I ever seen 3 in the yard at the same time. 2 w/5spd D/R and one 2wd, no turbo's. One had the body kit but was missing a side skirt. There was a EA82T wagon there, still hade the turbo and rear discs, no LSD. One was burgandy, one was white and the other was rattlecan black with lime green wheels:rolleyes: I have to go back sometime soon to get a tail light, so if someone needs something, let me know.
  21. Use a 1/2in drive ratchet and pipe, make sure the pipe is at least 2.5ft long. Then lay it against the right side, usually against the battery(EA82). Remove the coil wire and give the ignition a quick bump. This will break the nut loose.
  22. You have the worst case scenario for a blown HG. I would have the heads decked a little too, I would bet they are a tad warped.
