  1. Did you check for cracks between the valves? Sometimes, if overheated enough, it will crack up into the exhaust port where the water jacket is. No matter how many times you put HG's and resurface the heads, it will never seal.
  2. Sounds like Mtman38, he lives in Gorst.

I hate to say it, but to get a Justy capable to do what you want, you need to put the body on a different frame/engine. It doesnt have the HP or the gearing. A Justy on a Sami frame would look cool:headbang:
  4. My Sooby radar is fine tuned:D I keep it parked on the side of the house next to a tree and fence. Nobody even notices it:rolleyes: A soon as I hit the road, its a different story. It gets noticed by alot of folks, it really sticks out. I think I will be repainting it in Urban Camo (black, grey, white)
  5. Yeah, Warrens the guru. He got my Brat passed, altho I had to swap carbs in the parking lot. I'm tempted to see if the Hatch will pass with its Weber. It has a few more years to go, its a 86, and I hate having to get a trip permit everytime I go out wheeling.
  6. Ok ok, puter talk belongs in OT:D The edging cost me about $12, well worth the cost. I'm not going for looks, its to keep me from getting more added to the fix-it ticket I will probably get when I get stopped for not being street legal. As it stands now, I'm to high for my GVW, and the bumper is too high for my GVW. Wasnt much mud where I was at last Sat, but what I did run into didnt get splashed much on the sides. So yeah, they do keep some mud off...unfortunalty:-\
  7. Dont fret, this has happened to almost all of us when we did our first brake job. The front calipers need to turned in, clockwise. You can get a cheap tool at a parts store, its a square job that fits on a couple of different make cars. Or you can spend around $50 and get a real fancy tool to do it.
  8. Tear offs! Even Zap commented when he noticed them up at EC Sat. The car is already camo green Pat:confused: You all should know by now that I'm partial to black
  9. That depends. If you have the notification enabled, it will pop up a window telling you that theres a PM from so n so waiting for you whenever you refresh the page or change forums:D
  10. When you use garden edging for fender flares:D I posted these over in the Meet n Greet/EC thread, but decided to post them again here. They are screwed on with sheet metal screws and washers to the inner lip of the wheel wells. Not much material there either. They bend very easily and if they tear off, oh well.
  11. Does it seem like the tranny is moving when you shift? That could be a problem if not corrected soon. You need to get under the car (use jackstands) and try and move the tranny up, you can see the mounts and be able to tell if they are bad. If its the driveshaft, its a inconvience mostly. But if left that way it could eventually affect the bearings in the rear diff and tranny.
  12. Nope, its the real thing. Just saw it again:-p About a 2ton boulder squishing a EA82 wagon. Theres another scene where one of the Barbs is sitting with some kids, fishing. He's dipping into the bait can, pulling out a handful of worms and stuffing them into his mouth:lol: I love that commercial.
  13. Great pics guys. Zap, I've been trying for years to get a shot of Rainier with the moon in it. Ed, what kind of camera did you get?
  14. Check the tranny mounts, make sure they are tight. Might try and rotate the driveshaft 180deg also.
  15. Yup. And I would NEVER trust a odo reading from a used car dealership:rolleyes:
  16. Good to see you again Austin, wish I could have hung around longer. Glad you were able to find the others too.
  17. Well, I never came back to the Board to see your last post:o At least we got to say hi before I had to leave. Saw Ed on the way out also. Hope you all enjoy the weather, its at least 10deg cooler up there. Got my "Redneck Fender Flares" installed, but never saw the County Mounties today. Better safe than sorry tho.
  18. Good luck getting that hardend steel bolt out:banghead: Your heads sound like they need to be resurfaced also.
  19. Not sure what the round one belongs to. But the green one is for checking codes and the white one clears them.
  20. I'll be leaving my place around 10am and stopping at the Chevron in Wilkeson approx 10:30 to get my pass and some munchies. If your coming up 410, I advise stopping at the Safeway gas station in Bonney Lk. Gas is real cheap there, I pay $2.94gal. See you all up there:headbang:
  21. Nicely done:D I assume the tires in the pics are for street use. Otherwise it would just fling the meat right off the wheels. As light as the car is, I bet its a bear to get a hook up.
  22. If the top of the dash is cracked, you can get dash covers on Ebay for around $30US
