  1. I have a 86 MPFI XT Turbo in my possesion thats serpentine belted. Never had any problems with the serp belts on my 6's, just the stupid crank pulley's:rolleyes:
  2. Not just cars..............
  3. The red XT6 belongs to Qman, he's been around for a little bit:D The other black one belongs to Mr. Radon, a regular over at XT6.net. We made a day trip up to Mt Rainier and stopped at various locations for photo ops. Cant recall what the wheels are on Qmans XT6, but they are aftermarket. Not sure what vid you watched, dont have one in my gallery. Btw, I own 2 89 black XT6's at the moment. One is for sale, soon.
  4. I would say, put a t-stat back in it. Not sure, but it might help with the backpressure. My RX runs cooler that any EA series I've ever had. The reason? No condensor/cooler in front of the rad. Mine gets to just below a 1/4 and never goes higher. Thats been verified with 2 engines.
  5. Give you a ring about 11ish to see where on I-5 your at? Should be close to 512 by then.
  6. 1. No lift needed, Brats also came with 3AT. You will need to change the radius rod plates and tranny mounts tho. 2. Yes, get a 5spd D/R for the Loyale. You will need the 2 piece driveline that comes with it. 3. Dont think the pedal boxes are the same, but might be adaptable. 4. Not sure, but I think the TC is the same. But the flexplate might be different. Easy to check tho, just slap it on and put a few bolts in. Turn the engine (by hand) and see if it rubs. 5. Dont forget the nuetral safety switchs.
  7. I need to take some more pics of the XT. It has a Mitsu TD05 in it with some hack plumbing for it. But it has potential:brow:
  8. Havent uploaded any pics in a while, thought you might enjoy some new stuff. Theres some stuff that might be useful also. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=96
  9. Lots of those to be found in Puget Sound for $1000 or less. I would try and get him down to that price range.
  10. Not true. A car can have that type of plate, its a commercial plate. The regs for bumper heigth go by GVW. So a car has 22in and a BFTruck will have a GVW thats much higher. So its bumper is can be much higher. And if you have more than 4in of body lift from the frame, its illeagal also. So my Hatch is waaaay out of the ballpark on a few on the list.
  11. Someone else posted it on the weekend I believe....... Will be ineteresting to see in person.
  12. You might be the only one from CO coming.
  13. No. The reason is that the older wagon wheels are made for a smaller front brake caliper.
  14. I might be in after all. Its possible I have a driver for my 2nd car, which means the Hatch will be coming:headbang: Eh, no 90mph+ now:rolleyes:
  15. Sweet deal! Cant beat free:headbang: Hmmmm.....I wonder if a Nissan T-Case can handle 2.2 power:brow:
  16. Pretty sure those are Subaru wheels, I have a set.
  17. Get ahold of these guys. They are both members here also and might be able to help. http://www.xt6.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5888
  18. Can also try a strap wrench used for oil filters.
  19. Eh? The idea is to not use a half a tube of the stuff to get a seal. A little bit goes a long way. I've done several oil pumps this way and have never had a leak or problem otherwise. But hey, what do I know, Ive only owned over 20 Subaru's and been working on them since 1987:rolleyes:
  20. Its not going to get worse just sitting there for a while. You can still give Jason a call, by the time it gets to you, you might be healed up.
  21. There is no paper gasket with the Dealer provided rebuild kit. Never heard of one being used either. BUT, where the block halfs mate together, theres a small area on the bottom of the pump mating surface that you need to use some RTV on. Sometimes the 2 surfaces are uneven.
  22. I paid $700 for the last running XT6 I bought. Some here have paid less and got more and others got it the other way. Theres no way we can put a value on the car your interested in, you have no info on it to give us. Once you do, we should be able to give you a ballpark figure. But remember, anytime you go to a dealership, the price is marked up by at least 200% (if not more).
  23. I got a buckle just like that off Ebay last year. Cant wear it, it pinches me belly:rolleyes:
  24. Just wait, Qman hasnt posted his yet:brow: Thanks Mick, I just went to Ebay and bought a couple more:lol: I'm beyond help:cool:
  25. I've got a Subaru Tech one and the round one thats blue and silver. Also have a SPT one.
