  1. I have pics of you riding it, remember? I just want a closer look to see how the engine is mounted, etc. I have a weed whacker engine that should work on it.
  2. I have a black hood and headlight covers if you need them.
  3. Got my RX real dirty on a 300mi+ road trip last Sat. Did about 10mi on dirt roads. One of our stops for a photo op.
  4. I've got a mountain board (actually my kids) and would love to motorize it. Tips, plans, etc would be sweet. Are you bringing that to the Show this year? Love to take a closer look at it.
  5. It could be the governor gear, which is a simple fix if you can find a good replacement. http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/USRM/Transmission/Governor/ATgovenorclean.htm
  6. And I had nothing to do with it Glad your going to keep it. And I'm still watching/looking for a bumper.
  7. Welcome to USMB. Will you be at WCSS12? I would love to meet you and Angel (I want to see your mods)
  8. Maybe, maybe not. Depends on your base color and how thick you want it.
  9. Krylon has camo paint, comes in flat colors. Paint late morning while the humidity is low.
  10. I might recommend checking the thread date before responding
  11. Read this thread from the XT board. One of the guys rebuilt a ER27 (essentially a EA82 with 2 more pistons) and about halfway he gets into forged pistons etc. http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3575&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=ER27+build This wont be cheap, but o-ringing a block isnt either.
  12. Theres lots of good soap out there - Turtle Wax, etc. Go to any chain auto store, they will have it. Just dont use dish soap......ever.
  13. Been doing some much needed maintenance on my Hatch. Drained the rear diff and put it in new. The old stuff was black, but no water! Changed the oil. And had fun re-winding the cable on my winch. It hasnt been out for a while and I had to use my Brat to pull it out. I also had a bad connection and had to pull off the leads and clean it all up.
  14. I think so, not 100% sure. When I said I rolled past him, he was doing 65mph and I was probably doing 70+ (70mph speed limit)
  15. Mr Carb I believe. Buddy of Austins. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=103120
  16. No, they arent. Theres Hitachi's and NipponDenso. I believe the EA81T disty is different also. Jerry DeMoss and Psyko might have some info as well.
  17. I'm going to try and make it, but it all depends on how beat up I am after the Rally X on Sat.
  18. It is possible to get one to tight. I was taking one off a EG33 and nothing was working. I had a 3ft steel pipe on my breaker bar and was bumping the engine and it would not break loose. Eventually got a longer pipe and used my 180lbs to get it off :-\
  19. There have been some EG33 swaps into Legacy's and Imp's, I dont think it will be that big a problem in a Foz. You might be able to use the SVX TCU, it might be close to the same as the Foz's or vice versus. You might be able to find the TCU pinout over at http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=30&f=2
  20. Headed NB from PDX around Chehalis I think, Mykeys Toy and I in my Brat rolled past a lifted white EA82 wagon. Had a roof rack with 4 lights on top and a set of blue bull balls hanging off the back bumper Nice looking wagon.
  21. You wont have a problem any way you tow it. It has to be a AWD Subaru to cause damage.
