  1. Link does not work. Copy and paste the PB image code into the USMB image box.
  2. Please try again, the link didnt work. My first Brat, a 84.
  3. His last post here was almost a year ago, and this thread was started in 03. I guess what I'm trying to say is, pics probably wont be forthcoming.
  4. Looks like most of it is in the Blewett and Swauk Pass area. Not sure if I want to drive that far from the Show to wheel :-\
  5. Type of Wrenching: Professional, Shadetree, Maintenance What: Subarus, and a little bit of everything else How long doing it: First pro shop was 30 years ago (Goodyear) Other skills: Carpenter(includes concrete to roofing) for 25yrs, AA in electronics, Some schooling for autobody. Kind of like Mick's history....been taking stuff apart since I was a kid. Took me a while to figure out how to put it back together and make it work tho. Having kids with toys made me pretty good at fixing broke stuff also.
  6. You were also spotted by someone on Nasioc. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showpost.php?p=31521843&postcount=58
  7. Are the spark plugs removed? Turns easier without compression. Once you get it to turn, remove the starter and remove the TC bolts thru the hole.
  8. You should go into your user control panel and make it so people can send you PM's.

  9. Not much happens Fri night. Everyone that shows up is busy setting up camp, etc. Sat schedule for the Show & Shine was posted somewhere, but I cant find it now :-\ Judging starts around noon tho. Mudpit should be around afternoon time with the awards ceremony at the end of the day. I'm sure a WCSS staff member will give you a better idea on times tho.
  10. Ski called me while he was there and asked a few questions. I told him they might ding him for every connected part on it, ie - the clutch, pp, flywheel, x-member, etc. If its a assembly they can charge you for every part attached. It all depends on who is at the register and what day it is He got lucky that day and was only charged for a transmission.
  11. What was the mileage on the engine? Like John said, it looks like a high mileage engine. Bad valve guide seals, valve seats and bad rings could also be the culprit here.
  12. Are you enrolled at Biola College?

  13. Heres some usefull info on engine swaps for a XT. http://www.subaruxt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8493&hilit=+ej20+swap Lots more info there, just do a search.
  14. Time to take a break then. Besides, you need to work on the XT6 for the Show
  15. Lots of info here (weed thru the replies, its Nasioc) http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2030654 The people from Dirtfish respond also.
  16. Welcome to the board, you should find yourself spending a lot of free time here. Just would like to mention that I grew up in La Mirada.
  17. Only if its hi comp or a turbo. But I dont think going to 50lb would hurt.
  18. Some people want their cars to have character and set them apart from others. Why be like all the other cookie cutter cars out there? My lifted Hatch has fast blinkers because the bulbs are a different wattage.
  19. This isnt oxidation, the paint thinner melted the plastic. No amount of sanding is going to help these, trust me (ask me how I know)
