  1. Sell it and buy a WRX/STI. For all the money you need to spend on getting more power out of a NA engine, you might as well get a better platform from the beginning.
  2. Heres the vid I took of Chinook Pass. Lots of snow still up there.
  3. Dude, a speeding tic? :-\ I dont think I've ever driven that slow on a 300mi drive Cops were every where More pics! Took these with my cell... Everyone else make it home ok? Twitch? Fenix? (I know you only lived about a mile away, lucky) Got some vid of Chinook Pass, need to get it edited and uploaded.
  4. Pics or it didnt happen
  5. More... Had a good time, the weather cooperated and the roads werent toooo bad.
  6. Well, Bill never showed either :-\ Had some problems, I'll let the guys that had them explain it all. I'm just going to post some pics Hope their not to big
  7. See you guys at 10am in E-Burg, I'm all ready to roll.
  8. I'm not having much luck finding this stuff on line, but what you need is a heavy screen to cover your amps. Some places like Home Depot and Lowes carry door screens that can be ornamental, all you need to do is paint it. That way its hidden, protected and can still be vented.
  9. Talk to Corky, he's bought from a local importer guy. He also has bought stuff at auctions.
  10. Would be a good idea to register over here - http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1&sid=230f82ae140967de3052a23bb0d3c6ef

  12. Are you looking for parts? If so, this can be moved to the appropriate forum.
  13. So thats where we are all meeting on Sun at 10am?
  14. I was taught to use this in school, I have 2 tubes of it atm. Altho I havent replaced one myself yet, I have had 4 replaced in the last 5yrs. A 86 T-Wagon. My 89 RX. A 88 XT. And a 92 SVX, this one cost the most - about $230.
  15. Theres more to it then just slapping on a few parts before you can start it. Have you got a new water pump? How about a rebuild kit for the oil pump? (about $30 from the dealer) New timing belts and tenshioners? You may not need all of it, but the peace of mind of having these parts replaced and not having to go back and do it down the road is nice. If you want to test it to see if it starts and runs, you need all that on. But the radiator and alternator dont need to be hooked up. Yes, you can run it for a minute without water. But thats it. Do you know the procedure for installing the timing belts yet?
  16. I know the rear suspension can get mis-aligned, but I dont know what components need adjusting. Contact Caboobaroo, he's our resident alignment specialist. He aligned the rear on my RX.
  17. I'll see if I can find some. Shot of the rear bumper after I got the car.
  18. Its better to mount the EA rails to the seats than try and figure out how to attach stuff to the body. I installed some Legacy seats in my 84 Brat this way and all I needed to do was move one of the rails using a couple of steel plates. And I'm moving this to Retrofitting.
  19. I think I've seen that Hatch somewhere else before, maybe on the other side of the Mtns. I may have some parts for that Noah.
  20. Is the plastic on the bumper also melted? I ask this because my 89 RX was like what you described. But it was from running the engine so hard and low on oil it eventually threw a rod out the top of the block. But before that happened, it also melted a lot of the plastic in the area around the muffler and inside the rear compartment. The PO may not be telling you the entire story for sure.
  21. Pull the snorkus off the throttle body and dump a little gas in it. See if it wants to fire. If it does, then the inj or fuel lines could be plugged.
  22. Anything ever done by Block has been posted here....more than once
  23. Not sure who your parts source is, but 1stSubaru has them for $115ea.
