  1. Thanks for the offer Dave, but I had a spare set already. They will probably be coming off again in several months......I have plans
  2. Heres some stuff from the SVX forum. You might do a search there as well, or go ahead and ask if you cant find anything. http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=39999&highlight=tcu+codes http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=54004
  3. How much new gas have you run thru it? Timing could be a issue as well. Make sure all the ground wires in the engine compartment are clean and tight, as well as the main harness connections.
  4. It did cause a timing issue, but it happened after I fixed a lot of other stuff and had it running good. I'm not sure how it happened, but I was on a 50mi run to a breakfast and wasnt being hard on it. It overheated right when I pulled into the parking lot and I filled it with a gal of water before hitting the road again. It was running rough at idle, but fine when the boost kicked in. It got progressively worse and I parked it. That was almost a month ago. When I installed the new t-belt I didnt notice if the pulley was loose, I didnt remove it either. I'm waiting on HG/intake gaskets right now, but in the meantime I'm doing my usual "cleaning"
  5. Ok, had to pull the engine due to rough running and leaking oil out the HG's. This is what I found on the passenger head camshaft. I put a new t-belt on it before the install and didnt notice anything wrong with it. But at least I have another head to replace it
  6. ^^^This. Could be a dirty MAF or IAC. You can buy the MAF cleaner at a parts store, its made specifically for it.
  7. Just did this today with a c-clamp. Do not mash that rod in, it needs to go slow and easy like said above. The hard part is finding a pin strong and small enough to fit in the hole. I used a small allen wrench.
  8. EJ22's are a dime a dozen, finding one with low mileage is just a tad harder. Finding a good EJ22T is another story I wasnt really looking, but when the deals came around I jumped on them. $300 for a long block and harness, plus some other stuff to go with it. $300 for a cut harness, ready to go. Also got a bunch of other stuff with the deal, which I sold and recouped some $. My flywheel I already had (XT6) and I did some trading with Scott to get it redrilled. The adapter plate I traded a set of EA82 rear discs for. Misc other stuff I got, but doesnt add up to $1k total. I have waaay less in this build than my previous EA82T, and I'm already collecting parts for building a hybrid engine (300hp+) Wheel and deal baby
  9. Wheres Caboobaroo? In his defense tho, he hasnt quit. Its just taking forever.
  10. With only 97k on the clock, I dont think he's going to have any issues for quite a while. Especially if he does some preventative maintenance. Granted, I wouldnt have forked out that much cash for it, but you clowns really need to get off the EA82T hate wagon. I hope you 2 come to WCSS12, I'm going to bring a bag of lemons so's you can sit at a table and suck on em
  11. Sell it and buy a WRX/STI. For all the money you need to spend on getting more power out of a NA engine, you might as well get a better platform from the beginning.
  12. Heres the vid I took of Chinook Pass. Lots of snow still up there.
  13. Dude, a speeding tic? :-\ I dont think I've ever driven that slow on a 300mi drive Cops were every where More pics! Took these with my cell... Everyone else make it home ok? Twitch? Fenix? (I know you only lived about a mile away, lucky) Got some vid of Chinook Pass, need to get it edited and uploaded.
  14. More... Had a good time, the weather cooperated and the roads werent toooo bad.
  15. Well, Bill never showed either :-\ Had some problems, I'll let the guys that had them explain it all. I'm just going to post some pics Hope their not to big
  16. See you guys at 10am in E-Burg, I'm all ready to roll.
  17. I'm not having much luck finding this stuff on line, but what you need is a heavy screen to cover your amps. Some places like Home Depot and Lowes carry door screens that can be ornamental, all you need to do is paint it. That way its hidden, protected and can still be vented.
  18. Talk to Corky, he's bought from a local importer guy. He also has bought stuff at auctions.
  19. Would be a good idea to register over here - http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1&sid=230f82ae140967de3052a23bb0d3c6ef

  22. So thats where we are all meeting on Sun at 10am?
  23. I was taught to use this in school, I have 2 tubes of it atm. Altho I havent replaced one myself yet, I have had 4 replaced in the last 5yrs. A 86 T-Wagon. My 89 RX. A 88 XT. And a 92 SVX, this one cost the most - about $230.
