  1. Yeah, not a good idea. PM me your addy and I can send a used one to you.
  2. Tire size makes a big difference also. I have 185/70/14's on my Brat with a unknown year 5spd D/R. My rpm's run about 2.6k at 70mph.
  3. 2 brass L's, a nipple and a union, all 1/8" from Home Depot. Used teflon tape and theres no leaks. Its angled back into the corner so it will clear the alternator.
  4. Its a direct swap on all of it, you should have no problems. Unless its all rusty
  5. You must be east of Hwy 18 I assume. Bonney Lk, WA. On the border of Hicksville and the City Slickers
  6. I'm going to send you a scan of the EJ ECU pin outs, it might help a little. Oops, send me your email addy.
  7. Regardless of what you think GD, the EA82T wasnt that bad a engine. Every EA82T that I ever had, had well over 100k on it. Show me another engine that was turbo'd with that kind of mileage. The reason everyone has a problem with them is they get them with high mileage, then beat the snot out of them and/or mod them.
  8. If you need or want info on the stock engine, or the RX in general ask me. I've been thru about a 1/2 dozen of the engines I now have a EJ22T in the car.
  9. No more knock since I changed the oil (just 300mi). I tried hunting down the leak today but couldnt see anything obvious. I may have a leaky HG :-\ I did replace the IAC and TPS, so hopefully my idle problem is fixed.
  10. It just may be low on fluid, a LSD diff will act funny if low. If thats the only thing wrong with it, I would still buy it, they are easy to replace. You could always throw a open 3.7 rear diff in and drive it till you found a replacement LSD diff.
  11. The feature is called the "Hill Holder". It allows you to release the brake while sitting on a up hill slope. I think it only works on the front wheels tho. The problem could be the rear diff is locking up.
  12. Sorry I didnt make it down yesteday, I was working on mine...again I had to get my tail lights resealed, they were filling up my back end with water. Then for some reason, my electrical decided to go wonkers. When I first started it that morning, the dash looked like a x-mas tree. I popped the hood, but everything looked ok. I pulled it under my canopy and started looking around, but couldnt see anything wrong. When I went to start it again, it wouldnt start. I checked the ign fuse - blown. I went thru that about 6 more times I started checking out my harness by the battery and noticed my overflow tube for the rad was dripping right on a junction. I moved it and messed with the wiring and it fixed it. Dang, its the little stuff that messes with ya Drove it to a meet tonight with no issues.
  13. Nah, I cant ban anyone.....yet. I was just returning the spirit in which your first post came across. I'm a frequent flyer over at the "other" place, as I have more than one generation of Subaru. And I try and make a meet a week, got to rep the old school Subaru's. But as the others mentioned, we are pretty laid back here and try and keep the drama at a minimum. The USMB has been around for about 12yrs and we have a pretty good knowledge base for our quirky cars from beginning to end. We welcome any insight and questions you may have. Oh btw, I love your car. But I'm biased towards black.
  14. If the first part was true, you wouldnt be here either And if the OP hadnt posted a pic and a little info, I would have banninated him
  15. I dont think its going to work to well. The reason we do body lifts is because it puts less stress on the axle joints.
  16. Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are the same. But if you are thinking of using a EA tranny behind a EG, its not going to last long.
  17. This is basically what I did, but I cutout the EA FP relay and ign stuff so it (me) didnt get confused with the EJ wiring.
  18. I might be able to come up Thurs and I have some diagrams etc. Do you even have a FSM?
  19. Finished installing my GC/Eibach coilovers, my RX handles now Psyko came over and lent a hand, when were done with mine and test drove it (ask him about the ride) we worked on his Legacy wagon. I polished the headlights so he can see at night now and we welded up his broken exhaust. Pretty productive afternoon. RX sits a little lower now
