  1. You can post in the wanted forum for a set or 88 Factory Service Manuals. Once in a while you can find them on Ebay also. Some of us here might also be able to scan some stuff if you dont need the whole manual.
  2. This is the way I do it, but I usually just pull the engine far enough forward to get the old parts off and the new ones on. It also helps if you remove the starter, it allows a little more elbow room.
  3. Heres your answer. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=101211
  4. I doubt if your going to get a deep throaty sound from a EJ18, but you can try. My Brat, with EA81, has a custom 2.5in from the heads back to a Magnaflow muffler, Its pretty raspy and loud. My RX, with EJ22T swap has 2.5in from the DP back to a aftermarket muffler and has the deep boxer rumble. Its actually quieter than when the EA82T was in it.
  5. It depends on whether its FI or carbed. FI - horsepower 94@5200rpm, torque 101@2800rpm Carbed - horsepower 73@4400rpm, torque 94@2400rpm
  6. I love how most of the car is a crumple zone for the trunk !
  7. I'm going to see if I can make it. Does anyone have any ideas about how to replace some lower shock bushings for Rancho's? I've looked on their website, but dont see anything available :-\ I dont want to drive all the way up there and then beat the crap out of it and try and make it home with buggered shocks.
  8. Sounds like it could be the coil or module in the disty went bad.
  9. Your post was moved to the For Sale forum and now needs the info on the car and contact info.

  10. I was wishing I could have made it last weekend for the test and tune meet at PR, but I'm still working on it and to be honest, broke. When the next one comes up, lets try and make it out.
  11. Hey, if suberdave and his wife could do it, so can you guys JK, hope everything comes out all right We'll miss you all, hopefully see you next year.

  13. BTT I hate looking back a couple of pages to find the link :-p
  14. I've forgotten more than I know.......
  15. Well, it still has the high idle. I'm living with it right now, but I'll work on it this weekend when the weather dries out some. I suspect its the IAC and I have another one to go in. The temp is no longer a issue, I have another fan installed in front of the rad and its running around 160-170 now. Fuel supply is adequate at the moment. I hit fuel cut at 6.5k, thats more than I need to be going anyway I'm just having to much fun, I'm burning thru gas like crazy :-\ Considering the price of premium is over $3gal now, I'm going thru $10 a day. Thats about 50mi a day.........and I'm really not going any where :-\ But I'm having fun doing it
  16. You obviously know what you are doing.....go for it. Yes, its all possible. Read my swap. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=110912 You will need a EA82 turbo x-member also.
  17. Check the wire for corrosion, it will effect the values sent to the ecu.
  18. Is yours a N/A 2.2? You should be able to check the codes (if the light is hooked up, mine isnt yet). And if you think your 2.2 is fast, you should sit shotgun in my 2.2T I've given a few rides to some local friends and the look on their faces when it hits boost............... priceless
  19. I have a 86 FSM at the house here, just give me a call before dropping by.
  20. Started cleaning my ADR Sokudo's today. The clear coat on the polished lip is peeling bad. Using red Scotchbrite pads and lots of elbow grease, I got one done in about 1.5hrs :-\ Now, should I leave them like this or paint them? And what color?
  21. There were about 4-5 Subaru's and several Evo's there also. Everyone's seen those tho, ho-hum.
