  1. Correction.....There are people from all over the world in this forum. I lived in Ruidoso for 3yrs. Nice place, miss it sometimes.
  2. This is your first brake job? And you've been here for 4yrs.... Really, I'm just giving you a hard time cause you always ask for it
  3. I should give you points for not knowing that :-\ But we dont do that here.
  4. Thanks guys, I'll see if I can figure it out from there.
  5. Well thats great, how about getting it running?
  6. Just like it says, I need the part number if anyone has it handy please.
  7. SeaTac. You can catch a ride from someone going, or maybe even drive someones extra car
  8. How about some pics, that might help to ID it better. But here in the PNW, theres tons of Subaru's, even XT's.
  9. It would probably be much cheaper and easier to use a EA82 rear swaybar. It takes a little modifying to make it fit, but a hacksaw will work. Getting the tabs welded to the swingarms are the next hurdle, but easily done.
  10. The OEM thermostat has always been a recommendation here, along with the PCV unit.
  11. The cruise isnt supposed to be able to kick in until 45mph+ I believe. The coupe is looking nice, makes me want to start my next project now.
  12. If you want something for offroad, look no further. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=86866&highlight=Turbone Contact me for more info.
  13. If the 84 wasnt set up from the factory as a turbo, then no...not really. It needs to have MPFI, a bigger fuel pump and lines, ECU and harness. Also will need a turbo cross-member, so the up pipe will clear.
  14. Try and find a Brighton 2dr model. They have the basic package, no options. Crank windows, no AC, etc.
  15. This is not a good choice for a offroader. While most will say a turbo isnt desirable for offroad use, this one in particular more so. Even if you didnt take it offroad, the engine will give you lots of headaches. Plus all the electrical goodies in the car will play havoc with you if things get wet, which is highly likely living in W. WA. Also, the suspension will need to be removed and swapped out with standard stuff (maybe a lift too). And the AT will suck for offroad use. It should have a 5spd dual range for offroad use.
  16. Yeah, that was Bills RX that self destructed, not mine. Altho mine has a habit of destroying engines
  17. I've used the 33-2010 in my RX for a couple of years without issues. And if you drill 2in holes or cutout the bottom of the airbox, you get plenty of air. And some neato sounds too.
  18. Do you have any idea how much a engine like that cost? Just the rings/piston for that are more than I paid for my RX. Personally, if I had the $ for something like that, it sure wouldnt be going into a 25yr old Subaru.
  19. This one? http://boise.craigslist.org/cto/1593970056.html I was sent pics of it and it didnt look that bad.
  20. Bigger tires help with flotation. Some extra lift helps also
