Waterwagon 3 Build-up, and the SJR+EJ Lift Thread!

That ^^^ is a cool picture -
It would probably be much cheaper and easier to use a EA82 rear swaybar. It takes a little modifying to make it fit, but a hacksaw will work. Getting the tabs welded to the swingarms are the next hurdle, but easily done.

Thermostats for Comparison
Turbone replied to 88 EA82T's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
The OEM thermostat has always been a recommendation here, along with the PCV unit. -

If the 84 wasnt set up from the factory as a turbo, then no...not really. It needs to have MPFI, a bigger fuel pump and lines, ECU and harness. Also will need a turbo cross-member, so the up pipe will clear.

This is not a good choice for a offroader. While most will say a turbo isnt desirable for offroad use, this one in particular more so. Even if you didnt take it offroad, the engine will give you lots of headaches. Plus all the electrical goodies in the car will play havoc with you if things get wet, which is highly likely living in W. WA. Also, the suspension will need to be removed and swapped out with standard stuff (maybe a lift too). And the AT will suck for offroad use. It should have a 5spd dual range for offroad use.

Yeah, that was Bills RX that self destructed, not mine. Altho mine has a habit of destroying engines

Which K&N air filter for 86 RX Turbo ?
Turbone replied to discopotato03's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I've used the 33-2010 in my RX for a couple of years without issues. And if you drill 2in holes or cutout the bottom of the airbox, you get plenty of air. And some neato sounds too. -
witch is best ea81T or ea82T
Turbone replied to AWD TURBO!'s topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Do you have any idea how much a engine like that cost? Just the rings/piston for that are more than I paid for my RX. Personally, if I had the $ for something like that, it sure wouldnt be going into a 25yr old Subaru. -

Bigger tires help with flotation. Some extra lift helps also
