  1. That is very interesting. None of the U.S. models( I am pretty sure anyway) came with a belt driven fan. I believe the first ones were on the ea82's. Someone please help me out if I am wrong. I find this kind of stuff very interesting!
  2. Anyone else spot that little white cooling fan positioned on the engine? Don't think I have seen one positioned in that way before.Especially on the pushrod motors. Looks like a ea71 if I had my guess. Did all of the non U.S. models come this way?
  3. What car are you planning on lifting? Or what body style? It really isn't that tough if you want to do the lift yourself. There are a few available for sale, but judging by your location shipping may be rather expensive. There are many people that have built their own lift so read on and you will learn alot.
  4. I think it could make a pretty big difference. Although I think the problem may lie in the fact that Jeff is hiding under your car somewhere! I think thermostat and radiator cap will fix the problem.
  5. Those make you want all of them! I love that little yellow brumby second picture down. All of them are great! Thank you for sharing!
  6. He definately is somebody I would love to meet! It seems that he along with a few others is among the fore front of thinking outside the box on subies. That carb swap would be something I would love to try. I am definately a bit old school since I still love carbs. Is the carb swap for the ej a single weber or dual or is it a big 4 barrel?

  8. Your hatch looks great! My hatch is angry at me right now as I drool over your car! Is that an ea81 in there turning those big meats or is that an ej22?
  9. I painted my entire grill white with that krylon fusion and it is pretty strong stuff and looks nice. Even after getting hit with rocks and bugs ect. it still looks good.
  10. That is great Skip! I love that statement.
  11. Ya some of those parts off of that tt ej20h are kind of different compared to the rest. I have an intake, heads and intercooler off of one of those and they are kind of cool to compare to the single turbo counterparts. I can't wait to see that car with the ej20h in there!
  12. Nice! I am interested to see how those cryo treated heads hold up compared to regular ones. Where are you getting the ceramic coated stuff done at? Swain tech?
  13. Ouch that motor of yours looks like it has seen better days! That timing gear looks like someone beat it with a big hammer a few times! CCR is great!
  14. Sounds nice! So is this the new project car in place of the rx or is this just a side project? Lucky!(Napoleon Dynamite voice)
  15. I am around denver. Keep an eye out for my red lifted hatch with white and red pugs on it. I have been driving it quite a bit lately. I am always looking for new rx's in the area to oogle over!
  16. Looks like you don't have much if any camber issues in the front like many lifted rigs. Nice job!
  17. That looks so sweet! What seats do you have in there? I bet that thing is a rocket!
  18. They do great work I agree. Your engine now looks as clean as the rest of your car does! Not too often that both are at the same time. Looks good!
  19. Thats a great looking little wagon! You will really love how durable that car is and decent gas mileage you can't beat the whole deal.
  20. You should tint your windows. I tinted mine on my hatch and it helps alot since I don't have ac nor do I want it for that car so I do what I can.
  21. I have had good luck with purolator, wix, oem,k&n. Lately I have been using k&n by choice. Mostly because of my slight ocd with changing oil and over engineering by k&n as stated by someone before.I use that filter along with synthetic oil and seems to be a great combo. In the past I have used fram and I have had bits of the filter come apart.(paper filtering element) Also I have had trouble with the rubber seal at the base being not up to par with the other filters mentioned.
  22. Been a while since I have been through butte or boseman. Both of those towns are nice.
  23. Is there a cam position sensor on the '97? Since I assume that is around the time that they went from obd1 to obd2 and also some of the subie engines went from non interferance to interferance engines.
