  1. I love your car! Is that a little Nurburing decal on the doors?
  2. That looks great!I am suprised that you can tuck 245's under your rx!Nice!
  3. Looks super nice Keith.I wouldn't do any more to it since I think it looks awsome.Looks like a good car that will last a long time.
  4. Or the ultimate rally machine IMO is rx tranny hooked to the ea81 dual port with dual carbs.
  5. That thing is sweet! What part of town did you see it in?I love those things!I will have to keep a look out for that one.
  6. Rally cross?Where?I had no idea. I really want to go.
  7. So does it bolt up pretty well to the placement of the stock 4 headlight hatch? Also I love the decals that you made up.Where did you find the rear louvers?Your hatch looks great.
  8. Ya Mick I love the front end!Looks similar to mine with the third eye but I am scratching my head still trying to figure out how you did the head lights. You gotta come out to colorado again soon.
  9. You made great time! I have driven the stretch of road to haines a few times and it can be pretty long and tiring. One things for sure is that it is much different than driving from state to state in the lower 48.Pot holes wake you up pretty good on a long trip. I did a bit of gold panning when I was last in haines.
  10. Great to see all of you again!Really glad I made +1 to the list of lifted subies there today. Thanks Keith for getting a picture of my red and white Unicorn.(Yes it does exist and appears when least expected) Thanks again all for a great time.
  11. I will be there guys. I am going to be driving the lifted hatch!
  12. Sounds great to me. I will be tuned in to hear what date we decide.
  13. Pictures please.I would love to see some pictures of your rx on the rally cross course.
  14. Nice job Phil! I am sure it wasn't an easy swap.Looks like it turned out well.
  15. Some may say that they developed a heart murmor from that! Nice going!
  16. Yes the thin stuff should be fine.If you are worried about it not sealing up on its own, then I guess you could use some of the rtv type sealant when you go to reassemble it.
  17. I for one am partial to msd.I have run the msd blaster coil before and now I have the msd blaster ss coil. Both very good coils.
  18. I believe someone over on the awdpirates website has done this swap.I don't recall any names but I am sure if you ask around on there you will find what you are looking for.
  19. Do you think it is possible it was some sort of vapor lock type thing? All though it wasn't really hot enough to mess with your tank.Just a thought.
  20. If I can remember,I don't think the weber ever came stock on anything, but was mostly available only through aftermarket.A few vehicles you will find them on are:early-mid 70's bmw 2002,early and mid 80's dodge d50 trucks, jeeps like cj5 & cj7's,there are several others that have them, but you will just have to look at the Jy's.
  21. When I saw your car earlier and you were telling me about the problems you were having I forgot to tell you I had the same things happening with my hatch, till I replaced the fuel filters and pump.It would not want to idle when it got warm and sometimes when it would die it was pretty hard to start.I can't say for sure that a fuel pump is the way to go just yet since I haven't been able to drive my car with the new fuel pump in there a whole lot just yet. Also is you fuel pump stock or has it been replaced before? The one that my hatch had when I got it was an aftermarket one and never seemed to work quite right to begin with.Good luck.
  22. Yes that big hole in the top that goes up to the stock hitachi. It is best to put something inside the hole along with it like a small bit of a shirt/rag and that will help keep it in place while the jb weld cures. One think I learned is not to try to fill the hole all the way at one time. From what I have found it is easier to work with a little at a time.
