  1. I will keep that in mind. What color?
  2. Here is a thread to checkout,a couple of posts down is a picture of a lifted justy.Gives you some inspiration. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=34665&highlight=Jibs+justy I agree with Mick on the years thing.
  3. I can uderstand the bandages on the fingers!I am glad you are taking the time to do a good job on the block sanding cause your hard efforts will surely pay off! And that vette is just sickening to look at!That is my favorite style vette and the 502 is my favorite BB.Gotta love the sound of one of those engines with a lumpy cam. Also what is the final color going to be?
  4. Hey Pat I did the conversion and it is really straight forward as everyone has said.I think the only real part you need to really concentrate on is bleeding the brakes.I did the conv. on my hatch and it is one of the more easy mods I have done.
  5. I was there the other day and there was one on the back row next to the fence. Not really sure what parts you are looking for specifically but it was pretty much a complete car.
  6. Yep its true. You just take the intake manifold off of an ea82 and it bolts right up to the heads on the ea81.The only thing that needs to be modified will be your upper radiator hose.Use one off of an ea82 and you should be just fine.
  7. I would probly bring some starting fluid or intake cleaner and spray it in the intake and crank it and see if it fires. Also bring a spark plug wrench and pull one or 2 of those and see what they look like and maybe check it for spark when you pull one of them.
  8. That is a nice color! It looks like a fun car to drive.I think the black steelies look good on it too,but white ones might look even better!
  9. Nice car! That is the body style that I like of those.I know for sure that will be a good sleeper car!The turbo guys won't see you coming!Any plans for the near future?
  10. Yep!Pretty sure nothing is holding that back.I gotta make it to this one cause this summer is going by too fast! Also I will help you get more parts if you need.
  11. In a scientific sort of voice:Ya see your wedge design was still doing its job, just changing its shape in the opposite direction. Just kiddin' Jeff!
  12. I can't say enough about the pictures you posted! But man it looks like it is better than showroom condition! Gotta give you major props on your interior,it is top notch! I would have to say it is by far one of the most beautiful subaru's I have ever seen.Lots of hard work and love that's for sure!
  13. As far as making your carb work better I would take it apart and clean it some more.Clean the emulsion tubes and maybe replace the accelerator pump. There is a good breakdown of a weber on the usrm. That should guide you along very well.
  14. Looks like some good progress!I bet it will be one of the best looking ea82 wagons around when you are done with it! Also I have to say I love where you mounted that yellow top optima.
  15. Just rear drive is what that guy has and he is a tech at one of the local hospitals fixing the medical machines ect.I work at HSS.
  16. Funny you should mention that cause there is a guy at the company I work for that has an old bug that he put a ej22 in.It is completely de emissioned and friggin loud and fast!If you see a orange/primer color bug with white 17" rims on it around denver that is the one.Definately doable but a little time consuming.
  17. Nice pictures. Not many people doin' it up old school style?Subies that is.
  18. Nice pictures!I really like the looks of how the swap went in.Clean!
  19. I like the looks of your hatch with the lift.I am hoping more of the byb lifts become available cause I want the same lift as you have, just cause I have heard lots of good things about em.What type of roof basket is that?Is that a yakima type?
  20. There is 4sp d/r and 5sp d/r.You will want a 5sp d/r out of a 85-89 GL wagon. Will bolt right up to your engine, but you will need to cut the floor where the trans will come through a little, but nothing major. The one you are looking at is definately a push button 4x4.
  21. That is one way of doing it which I have never done. This is the way I do it: -Warm the engine up to operating temp and remove the spark plugs and as you said block off or shut off the fuel supply and spark. Then insert the copression tester in the spark plug hole.Hold the throttle down to the floor to create vacuum and crank. I am sure there are other ways of doing it.This has just always worked for me.
  22. Looks really nice.I noticed another car sitting next to it in one of the pics, what is it?
  23. Have you flushed the cooling system very good?May want to do that. Also nice eyelids on the rx.
  24. That looks really good!I like it.
