  1. Hi, as the title says I would like to have anyone comment that has ran dual webers on their ea81.I am looking for info pertaining to jetting and fitment of the carbs.I have read earlier posts about people that have done it but I would like details.I would like to see a good starting point for jetting. Also I have read that some people have turned their webers sideways to accomadate the extra room needed for another carb.Anyone have pictures? Also needed is adapter plates if anyone has some used ones.Or even if you have another weber give me a shout. Thanks in advance for the info.
  2. Nice project you got going Shawn. Thanks for letting me stand and watch the progress on the EJ22 swap and also for showing me around the shop. Was great to see the van. Thanks again.
  3. The blade won't damage the glass.Use the blade at about a 45degree angle or so and use it gently to scratch off those dots.
  4. Might be fly poo. I have seen that before.Sometimes if it has been on there for a while you cant get it off unless you go at it with a razor blade.A flat blade razor or something like that.
  5. Most likely he is talking about the msd coil like: the blaster and blaster 2.I don't know that for sure though, but he also might be running the whole brain box type of system.
  6. Amazing how just changing that much can make your whole vehicle look totally different.Nice job.
  7. Sure,I will call you.Thanks.
  8. I am interested.Any chance you could get the jetting set correctly for dual webers?I want to run dual webs with my dually intake.Thanks.
  9. I have a solid lifter engine I tore down and wanted the internals. I am only going to keep the crank and the con rods.I want to get rid of the block and heads and cam.I also have the pistons which are in good shape.Anyway that is why I asked my question. BTW-When I was pulling the engine apart I read an earlier post by Shawn W about disassembly and it was very helpfull.I overlooked several times that one remaining bolt down inbetween the 2 cylinders on the right side of the engine.Very nice to know. Thanks
  10. I would like to know if anyone can tell me if some of the internals of a hydro lifter block and solid are the same? The crank? Also are the connecting rods the same?I am assuming that they both are.I think the only differences in the internals is the block and the cam, pushrods and the rocker shafts.Am I correct in my assumption?Thank you all for the help.
  11. That sounds like so much fun! That would be a real experience to remember.
  12. That is a little too insane! I can see someone like Jeffast123 with something like that. That is definate speeding ticket written on there like said before.Lots of nice fabwork though.Lots of time went into that one.
  13. I can attest to what Torxxx is saying about it being -60F.I have only seen -50F but I got my arse out there and started my car as well.I guess I am one of those who doesn't care too much for the autostart stuff. Well to each their own.
  14. No I don't think you damaged anything. As long as the rubber seal around the caliper piston isn't cracked then there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Those calipers are pretty strong.
  15. If you want to check your driveline get under there and grab it with both hands and rotate it back and forth while looking at the U-joint for slop.Good luck.
  16. I talked to Tom about it and he is just getting parts off of it to use on a cherry brat he got from NM.Pretty sure he has no intention of getting that thing liscensed.
  17. Check the plugs.See if they are firing.Maybe check the coil while you are at it.Also check the fuel filters.
  18. To up your compression ratio you can use EA71 pistons.Same bore just a little higher dome on the piston. You may have to get the pistons from a car in the junkyard. Use the search function and you will find alot of info on this.
  19. I am anxious to see your project.Sounds really nice.Don't feel bad about forgetting gas.I once forgot to put on the coil wire and couldn't figure why I couldn't get the darn thing to fire.
  20. Sad to see a Rx turbo go.Glad you got some good use out of it.Hope you find another one.
  21. Your engine on that car is a EA82.I am pretty sure the brake parts from a loyale should work as well. You will need a tool to turn in those caliper pistons though. They don't push right in you have to turn them.Good luck.
  22. Glad you got that one Tom.Good parts cars are alway nice to have.
  23. My choice is the ea81.Bullet proof.Easy to get parts for from the JY.Super easy and simple to pull apart.Very little trouble with operation.Very strong.Good torque.Easy to modify and get extra power out of them.Very lightweight. And reliable.I could go on and on.
