I drove package cars for 23 years, now I'm inside loading them. One car I load has 4 car dealerships. You can't imagine what some of these boxes look like......You can't just take a boxed item off a shelf and slap a label on it and expect it to go through 5 sorting facilities before it makes its destination.......Like an axelshaft box dropped on its end on a concrete floor.....OUCH!!!! subarubrat Posted April 2, 2004 Share Posted April 2, 2004 Lower ring and pinion ratios for the R160 Standard EJ into EA body adapter kit lift/lower springs and better struts Some other things like parallel front shock kits, larger lift kits etc. are a limited market but people like myself and others who build such things have already expressed the interest in handing over such methods and designs to be produced by a third party for others. A 6 inch and up lift is a fairly involved thing because it is built on the vehicle as you go. Making the task of producing one for somebody else an impossible or unreasonable job. Lockers are most likely out of the question. (where the hell do they go about even looking for them to stock them?) Tailgate trim is most likely out of the question. 14 inch and 15 inch wheels with 4x140mm lug pattern are out of the question. (they aren't a tire and wheel shop, though they do stock VW wheels) Where the HELL do they even find them if you can't? You guys could feel free to ask for parts that exist. I know most ppl get by with out them but that is mostly becuase you simply can't find them unless the dealership happens to have one still in or you luck out online. If it's the whole chain, I'd say pretty much everything that has been mentioned. The nearest B-W to me is about 4hr's drive, but it would be nice to know that I can get everything I need from them. Oh yeah, how about an entire rebuild kit to go with the cams? I'm talking gaskets, rings, bearings, hardware, even pistons (in up sizes), rods, valves, etc. If they are sourcing their Soob stuff from Altrom, most of this is available already. I wonder if they can be a seller of lift kits? (ex: PK makes them, sells them to bow wow, and they can sell them to customers who dont like to hassel with "ordering".., or somethign like that) and re-man or new engine parts for older engines- like ea81 longblocks, shortblocks, heads... that sort of thing! I've been there before and only don't go more often since the stock seems limited for Subaru stuff. However, Zap is correct in their good follow-up on weber stuff. Interesting turn of events since I tried to get a donation from them for last year's event; I guess I just didn't talk to the right person. They did let me leave our flyers on their counter. You can't expect a company that sells parts for a living to pony up the cash, time, etc... to deliver custom parts to a small and dwindling market such as ours. Set down the pipe, and think about this reasonably. Bow Wow can get you: Delta cams Gasket sets Oil filters Oil pumps Water pumps Webers Weber Jets Weber Aircleaners Weber Accessories Temp. Senders Pressure Senders Axles Bearings Clutch's I could keep going on and on. They know their way around, and can almost always deliver a japanese part (oem, or close to) for cheaper than OEM prices. If they don't have it in stock, it will be usually be in the next day. I think is a Good Idea to Bring us in Honduras, a store of this sponsorship... Here we got only the Subaru Dealer, then a Lot of national aftermarket stores... and Napa and Midas... but Napa and Midas are not good (because their Prices are Extremly High) and national aftermarket sells almost only cheap chinese parts... and some japanese... (I have installed chinese parts that only lasts for three months and other stuff for Subies... maybe if you come here... It`s just a wish... you know... Recently I purchase a Redline - Weber K731 Kit (Complete with 32/36 DEGV Carb. adaptor for EA82, Etc...) that was very difficult to do from here... (You couldn`t Imagine) ...And so, many people here has the same problem findin` parts to their American or American Version Cars (Think about that here, almost 70% of cars in our streets came from U.S.A. by small aftermarket importers) and our Latin American Version parts almost always doesn`t fit the American Version Cars... For Example, here the Subaru Loyale is Called Leone and it came with another complete diferent carburetor, Craptachi, that doesn`t fit my subie... and I did waste money buyin that... People here (In all Central America, and maybe Latin America) do their U.S.A Version cars last, using parts that bring here the "Yonkers" (SpanGlish word for "Junk Yards" ... in some places, are called as "Desarmes" Plural of Disarm in Spanish) So Maybe to open here a store that bring us Good New Parts for our cars, is a very Good Idea...
