March 23, 201412 yr This was one of my Subarus, I think it was an 88. Do you love it, hate it or have no feelings whatsoever? Comments about it are encouraged.
March 24, 201412 yr Must be incredibly rare, didn't know there were any gen 3 verts, 4 doors, even more different. For those that liked the "styling" of the K car! Edited March 24, 201412 yr by rrgrr
March 24, 201412 yr Author Must be incredibly rare, didn't know there were any gen 3 verts, 4 doors, even more different. For those that liked the "styling" of the K car! Oh, it's not a "vert". It's a glued on carriage top. The top, along with wire wheels and the luggage thing made it a Roadster", at least according to the badge they put on it. I presume it was after market. So, you need to take the survey!
March 24, 201412 yr It did hit me as a 'K' car, however, I like it very much and don't mean that to be a harsh comment. With the top down this would've been cool as ####. +1
March 24, 201412 yr Love it. My sister-in-law had one that was about the same model year. She decided to sell it when it hit around 120k miles and the trunk started leaking (bad gasket), thinking it had become unreliable (not the most logical conclusion to say the least...). She sold it for next to nothing and I've always been bummed that I didn't know she was dumping it. I would have jumped on it! Edited March 24, 201412 yr by bendecker
March 24, 201412 yr Nice ride...but those wire wheels ( hubcaps?) would hit the scrap pile if it were mine. Throw in a roll cage, sawzall the fenders and rock some 27" tires on 6 lug wheels and itd be bitchin!
March 24, 201412 yr Not too my taste, but still a nice car. All it needs is a continental kit on the trunk! lol John
March 24, 201412 yr Dat B pillar, its throwing my mind for a loop. I knew a rallycross guy who cut the top off of his XT (caged). They made him pin in a piece of sheet metal above his head per the safety rules. Edited March 24, 201412 yr by Ibreakstuff
March 24, 201412 yr 4 door 'Roadster', even nuttier! They really went the distance on the carriage treatment with the ribs in the top. I agree a continental kit would fit in on this -which would be hilarious on a Subaru! A little too pimp for me, esp w/the spokes. Kind of reminds me of a Cutlass Calais, too. IMHO 80's cars are pretty ugly, with a few exceptions, -you have to 'make' them cool. Edited March 24, 201412 yr by rrgrr
March 24, 201412 yr So this is what you'd get if you mated a Cadilac Cimarron with a Subaru GL 4 door.... It's a Subarron!!!! PS. The GL was a much better car! Oh... And this is horrible!... Funny, but horrible! One should never remind another that the Cimarron even existed... EVER! Edited March 24, 201412 yr by Sonicfrog
March 24, 201412 yr As gen 3 subies go, I like it for it's uniqueness, but it doesn't really have any atributes of an old subaru that make them the cars that I like.
March 24, 201412 yr Looks too Elegant for a Subaru ... ... ... I like it for it's uniqueness ... I Agree completely with that statement. Kind Regards.
March 24, 201412 yr Hm. What's uglier than a box of rocks? Let me THINK a second here....oh yea, fake convertible tops and fake wire wheels. If way ugly different makes it a collector car, you hit the jackpot!
March 25, 201412 yr Hm. What's uglier than a box of rocks? Let me THINK a second here....oh yea, fake convertible tops and fake wire wheels. If way ugly different makes it a collector car, you hit the jackpot! I give that car an award: A little plaque
March 25, 201412 yr Somehow this forum needs an "Unlike" Button... Just Kiidding! DUDE, it needs faux wood paneling! Wooden Paneling? ... You mean like This?
April 24, 201411 yr 1st Generation, 2nd generation.... especially Brats, but NOTHING else, ever! ever! Nothing is as good! NOTHING! - Sorry, I'm better now..... lol
