December 14, 200619 yr Check this out... an aircraft engineer is putting a twin turbo EG33 into his custom plane. I dont know that much about these motors and this is the first time I have seen anything like this, and got all excited about it so I thought I would share it. Check out the link.... http://www.sdsefi.com/air46.htm.
December 14, 200619 yr Man that intake looks so sweet on that eg33.They also mention that they built an ej22t powered rv6a!
December 15, 200619 yr kinda wouldn't want a CAI on that car... Imagine how well a intercooler would work at aeroplane speeds... And of cause, cam chains FTW
December 15, 200619 yr kinda wouldn't want a CAI on that car... Imagine how well a intercooler would work at aeroplane speeds... And of cause, cam chains FTW Intercooling on a plane is a doable idea, but on something that is drawing in that much air you might get some icing on the TB.I have heard of "overcooling" before on high preformance aircraft.
December 15, 200619 yr but on something that is drawing in that much air you might get some icing on the TB.Hmm.. That wouldn't be nice.
December 16, 200619 yr Intercooling on a plane is a doable idea, but on something that is drawing in that much air you might get some icing on the TB.I have heard of "overcooling" before on high preformance aircraft. Then you just need to make more boosts to melt the ice... I kiid I kiid. *fanticises*
December 16, 200619 yr air filters are for wankers:lol: F.O.D. is only a concern for cars that do more than sit and look pretty.
December 16, 200619 yr too much money and not enough brains? air filters are only slightly important.......
December 16, 200619 yr from the look of the ehaust to the turbo it has atleast run? The exhaust running acorss the top of the back of the engine must cook the oil cooler. What is seen through the windsceen? Is this just a front clip with doors?

December 20, 200619 yr This buildup has been well documented over on nasioc. It is a LONG thread, and it has started/ran, but he is still chasing down gremlins. It has been on hold due to his being in school, without direct access to the car.
January 1, 200719 yr I think you're right, Skip.. and look at the custom radiator support / intercooler bracketry.. that front clip is probably just for a test fit... from the look of the ehaust to the turboit has atleast run? January 1, 200719 yr Turbonetics is just the shop that did the work on the Garret turbo(s). The dude says its a garret turbo but the tag looks to say "Turbonetics"
January 3, 200719 yr Those are some pretty huge turbos. Usally one turbo is small and opne is a bit bigger. but wow thiose two are pretty damn big
January 3, 200719 yr Those are some pretty huge turbos. Usally one turbo is small and opne is a bit bigger. but wow thiose two are pretty damn big lots and lots of lag i imagine nipper
January 3, 200719 yr Oh yeah I bet. Usally a small turbo for low rev and big turbo for high revs. but oh well what ever floats ur boat
January 4, 200719 yr Those are some pretty huge turbos. Usally one turbo is small and opne is a bit bigger. but wow thiose two are pretty damn biguhhhh T3's arent what you'd call huge, and there are different types of TT setups that eg33 one being parallel.
January 5, 200719 yr T3 isn't all that big. Two of them might be slight overkill and they will have some lag time being bigger than req'd. I'm using one of those for my single turbo ER27. There are actually two sizes of the T3 and I'm using the larger where I'm guessing they're using the smaller to reduce lag. Man, that intake was pretty sweet. Helps me for fabbing mine. Now all I have to do is find those injector boss'.
January 10, 200719 yr IT shall be done!!! I just have to cough up the $1000 for the engine internals then get to building an intake.
