I added a RS front bumper with minimal work needed. I do need to see about adding the top filter strip by the grill. Also need to fix sides for another attachment. Not cutting the fenders. Need to add rear bumper cover from an Impreza... Had anyone dinner anything similar? Front has the factory reinforcement from the 99 RS..

I just used a 3m cavity spray yesterday on the inside of my quarter panels. I bought tube assembly from Amazon or eBay with 360° first pattern.. Worked good and filled wheel well areas with one can. -

Look up Geci and see what you come up with. He might do different colours on request. I don’t know as I haven’t looked into it. Cheers Bennie -
I’ve had good luck with Redline 75w90 NS. Shifts are fairly smooth, only time it feels notchy is when shifting into first while the car is rolling. I read that the synchros in the 5MT don’t like limited slip additives, so the NS doesn’t have them. I run Redline 75w90 with the additives in the rear differential.

Really sorry I can’t recall the guy. I’ll look around in my stuff. I bought a set of various bits in a lot. I got black but pretty sure he had other colors and a close enough blue and tan. So yes, there’s at least one guy. But pardon my forgetfulness at this time. It’ll come to me. I’m old now. -

Anyone 3D printing these yet for a reasonable price as well? I need a left and a right for an '84 in tan. Fronts are sun cooked and rears have survived so far. -
My opinion. Go big and get it done right. Make a post on FB and here and anywhere with gen two people. You’ve got a contact at PRP so that’s good. When we did ours (twice) they said pretty much the same thing. The mold might be gone, etc, and they do come from Thailand where the rubber is plentiful in production. You’ll end up with at least a couple or so for free. You’re not going to send each one out with payment to the penny. You’ll cover a little for your expenses. Tape, gathering boxes or envelopes, gas, time… you’d be a fool to not cover yourself, right? They will come. At least enough to cover the order or cover enough that you’re comfortable retaining a larger number but knowing you’ll have a steady market over the coming years. Those you’ll charge a little more for too. If you take this route I would be SURE you know if PRP will also be stocking these. If so, how many? Think it out and play the ball accordingly. If they’re going to stock 100 then you’d probably rethink keeping a large number for the future. Otherwise what happened to the Route66 Motors guy who had them on eBay ? Here in the USA And there was or still is Phil’s in Australia The shipping issue is a tough one. I also don’t like shipping over seas. Good luck. I’m not in that group anymore so I won’t kicking in on the deal. But we did it twice. With batches of 50. And I handled it. Everyone was happy.

I am a new member here and thought I would give an update on what I've found out about PRP. I called and talked to them several times about the possibility of making new gaskets. They said that the company that used to make them for them has gone out of business in the US and they would have to work outside the country to get them made. They said that I would have to commit to a full run (at least 200) and pay for the tooling workup. It was going to be way too cost prohibitive. Autoglasswarehouse in Brisbane has some seals but will not ship internationally, I asked them several times. You can have a company pick them up and ship them, but the quote I got was $160. I may buy 5-10 gaskets and have them shipped to try to bring the price down a bit if others are interested. The windshield gasket alone is about $120. LMK if anyone has an interest.

Beautiful 😍. I've watching your work on Reddit. I love your detailed breakdowns here! Wishing I had the knowledge to do this on my own. -

Update! I discovered that the transmission modulator vacuum hose had transmission fluid in it, indicating that the diaphragm is likely failing—since there shouldn’t be any fluid in the hose at all. Fortunately, my local O'Reilly Auto Parts store had one in stock, so I swapped it out. Now, the transmission shifts through all three gears properly. However, I’ve noticed a new issue: if I come to a complete stop and then try to proceed, first gear doesn’t engage. The only way to get it to engage is by shifting to Neutral ("N") and then back to Drive ("D").

B and I worked on our white rust free California Subarus my brother bought for us. I replaced all the auto trans hoses on my Outback and replaced all the stock clamps with worm style hose clamps. One of them had sprung a pinhole leak earlier and enough leaked out on my way to work that the car stopped driving. Some of them are 23 years old. Rear axle has been staying put, not that I've driven the car a lot. B replaced the timing belt, tensioner, idlers, some of the plastic, and a cam seal on his Forester. Unfortunately the new cam seal seems to be leaking more than the old one if anything. Painted the brackets and installed the extra cooler and fan in the Impreza. Spliced a couple spades into the wiring for the passenger side fan (which kicks on second) for the small fan. Here you can see it lines up with the hood vent fairly well. Stepped up to a 12" tablet for navigation. Fit in the old mount after cutting down the springs. So far so good, glad I did it. It's summer here so we've been doing some kayaking. Have seen a lot of wildlife. This past weekend we went to the UP and did more off pavement driving than I expected. Mostly just gravel roads but some dirt trails too. One was rutted but seemed dry until I got off to the wrong side and sunk in on the passenger side. Some high lift jacking and shoveling and putting some chunks of found wood under the tires allowed me to drive out. At that time I noticed all the fans were running and I could indeed feel hot air blowing out the hood vent. At no time did the temps ever go above the middle on the gauge. It wasn't extremely hot and we weren't pushing the car too hard but definitely an improvement. We drove up some long steep grades with the AC on (also seems to be working great now) and drove a fair amount off pavement in 70-80F temps. Have a couple temp sensors that have calibration for the Haltech and the tap I need to make bungs for them, still plan on installing those in the top and bottom of the cooling system. Still waiting on fab guy to make my extra fuel tank. Even with a new carbon canister the Impreza still fills with fuel slowly/incompletely. Taking the vent hose to the carbon canister off seems to solve the problem. Might tee a long vent hose into that one or something. I drive the car enough I'm not worried about losing a lot of fuel to evaporation.

Ok thanks. Just so I don't waste any of your time, what numbers on the TCU's have to match? Is it just the first five.........31711? Or does the entire top row of letters and numbers have to match? As I'm sure you know, there are no other years or models of Subarus that have a compatible TCM with year 1995 Impreza.

Do you think they blew because of the coolant spill, or just a coincidence they blew after you happened to spill coolant? :] -

Yes. both were rated for .57 ohms and had OL and the other 450k ohms and I notice after replacing them both my oil pressure gauge reads accurately now -

If they seal I wouldn’t stress about it. Common for gaskets not to be a perfect fit like this. If it was the other way around where the hole in the gasket was smaller than the exhaust port or exhaust pipe I’d be concerned. If they were cheap enough throw them in and see how they go. Cheers Bennie -

Were these resistors in the ECU? Cheers Bennie -
I took my 2005 Subaru Impreza Wagon in for it's safety inspection today. The Rear Side Marker Lights were flagged. Last year it passed. Anyway, I pulled the assemblies and the little marker bulb is there but no wiring. The Owners manual does not show it. In my 2002, the manual shows it and the wiring is present. Strange! Anyone run into this? Thanks, Larry

If (and until someone tests a pair, that's a big if) the renault ones are indeed a good fit, coilovers for that vehicle would also fit, like https://www.apmotorsport.co.uk/product-page/megane-2-rs-ast-5100-1-way . But they're waaaay out of my budget, so I haven't been looking at anything similar. If searching, be warned most seem designed to lower the vehicle, because non-subaru owners are weird.
