The RX does fine in the snow, with the right tires.

Yes, it is probably the oddball tyre. These cars are very fickle when it comes to tyres. Tim -
brat windshield and doors on hatchback

The Fun Tops are cool in the Hatch, but I'd suggest you find a very competent body man to do the job if your not experienced with that type of work. The guy I finely ended up using is from Belarus, he said it took more time to think about how to do it then the actual job. When I told him we have a simular say but we only measure twice he seemed very impressed....LOL. I also wouldn't recommend this on a Hatch that is in really good shape, or something you will drive every day as it will probably leak at least a little bit in the rain/mud. Other then that check out my gallary for some photos. later and good luck with it. Tim -
HELP - 1986 Fan Clutch...Update!!

I'm gonna try and say this with a bit of tact................ You came here for advice. You got advice. You took your car to a shop that you had no experience with and you got taken. Every bit of what every person gave you for advice was sound, and free. You are working on a 19 year old car, did you ever consider that one problem was masking another??? I spent $800 having a shop do exactly what you just did, I bought genuine Subaru parts and took it to a shop I knew and trusted. Before you start spewing about the advice you got here, how about taking a good long look at your responsibility for your car. If you learn half a lesson from this I bett it's a lesson you won't soon forget.......... Believe me when I say "been there, done that". Tim -
I used Camerons diagram and hooked up the returns and carbin can that way. I'm begining to wonder if my evelation here (1400') could have something to do with it???? Later, Tim

I've re-studed both of my subbs with Doorman studs and lugnuts. I just went in and told them the car, they found that stud, then cross refrenced it to a longer stud. I feel alot safer having that extra 1/4". Later, Tim PS Radical tyres!!!

Hey Bruce, new ones are out of the question for most of us........ about $400 from the dealership!!!! The wrecking yard is the next best bet and yes, most driveline shops should be able to "build" you a drive shaft with replacable joints that's about $100. Later, Tim

poll: who likes their weber?

I love the bottem end and the drivability, but I am one who has no topend and I'm getting about 14mpg:eek: . I've ordered a couple of sets of jets from Big Jim and I'm trying to be patient with it. I put a brand new one on Vickys car and it does better in the power band but she is only getting about 16mpg. Done crying for now, Tim -

Just a little taste of patients....................... There was a lot more then this when I finaly put it all together, see my album for a few more pictures of what went in to it. I bought stuff one thing at a time then rat holed it in the dining room (no, Vicky didn't think it was cool....LOL). Later, Tim

Morgan is correct, if it is sucking in air you have a leak were you should not. Tim

These are all good tips, but I don't think anyone has hit on your true problem. You should buy the actual "pin socket" for removing the ring nut on the back side of the hub. you can tap it out with a chisle or other inplement but I don't recommended it. You will also have to "unstake" the ring nut before removing. After the ring nut is removed everything is pushed out from the out board to inboard. Hope this help, Tim

If you guys get serious about this, may I suggest getting ahold of Ryan at SubbySport to see if they would like to ride along or do a story on it? I personnely would dig going but really doubt I could get away for the trip. Later, Tim

We're leaving the 23 and returning the 30th. I know, short notice:rolleyes: . If you want, PM me a cell number and a good time to call (goes for anyone who might want to meet) Later, Tim -
Those ROCK!!!! Normaly I would just pick one or two and then head on, but I had to look at each of those. Not that I'd ever want to start anything but posting a couple of those on the Pirate board seems justified.....LOL. Thanks for sharing David. Later, Tim
