As I was saying: need to know for example my brown '86 gl-10 turbo wagon 5spd s/r pb 4x4 has ea81 engine and radiator with ea82 intake and carb and the only codes it has is 12 and 14 the GREEN test connector does NOT need to be connected to read codes!! -

turbo, mpfi, spfi, carb, ea82, ea81, ea71 you need to be more specific, as anything is possible try disconnecting maf eilctrical connector, if you use one you may have a leak on the intake side after the maf or weak fuel system, restrictions, crud -
it's convenience the wide gap seems to work fine remove plug from box and install in engine no need to set gap std. gap plugs usually around .030" for B2LM, gave up checking gap on them after about 10, buy them pack of 25 at a time

almost all ea series take or can use NGK BPR6EY-11 Y = V power s = standard 11 = 1.1mm gap http://www.ngksparkplugs.ca/partfinder/partsdefault.cfm http://www.ngksparkplugs.ca/documents/partnumberkey.pdf

looks like you took an '87 or newer rx 3door, installed early style front bumper, removed body kit and spoiler, painted body, 5 lug conversion, and no mudflaps sure is a lot of work to make a "not quite a RX" RX -
Suby Newby with a couple questions.
subiemech85 replied to 87jewbaru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
rx does not mean 3door rx was option group which allowed other rx only options! I was not expecting to see the 3door rx I drove for a year and sold bonus points for knowing where it is now controller: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=93326&highlight=virgin+switch search for virgin switch -

I have also noticed that if the car is cold, the computer will not operate the realy, even if the test connector is connected now I just keep a jumper wire handy for this reason remove relay and install jumper wire after car warms up, replace jumper wire with relay and all is good I suggest if you are going to add a switch, to connect it to the blue and red fat wires of the relay plug so that if the relay were to not turn on the pump, you could turn on the switch which does the same function as the relay the colors may be different on your year, but the system should be the same

wrong-o skip!! fuse link feeds fuel pump relay for power circuit fuse feeds fuel pump relay for control circuit ecm grounds coil in fuel pump relay for control circuit to "hotwire" pump remove relay and jumper blue to red fat wires the colors may be different on your year, but the system should be the same

fuel pump is under car on fuel filler side, located just before the rear axle connecting the green connectors puts the computer in test mode, and cycles everything it can, including fuel pump, and waste gate solenoids to help give extra boost when really needed just lay on your back and stick your head under the car by the wheel you will see a plate held by 3 bolts 10mm socket to remove
