  1. You can Use GL-4 or GL-5 (I prefer GL-5 and also mobile 1 synthetic) and the tranny holds 3.5 qts, at least thats what my owners manual says....
  2. I think they gave you the Turbo model rotor.
  3. To me, that seems a bit steep, although you are going with comp valves those should not offset the price that much. A Suggestion would be to take it to a local machine shop and ask them how much it would be for them to rebuild your heads for you, also, they can determine what needs to be replaced and what does not. As far as keeping it stock or performance, it sounds to me that you dont want to go all out since it will also be a daily driver. Are you thinking about increasing the revs by a bit? if so then get slightly stiffer springs but remember revs break rods. (Im trying not to say what I would do, but just take all of this as a suggestion)
  4. If your not hitting fuel cut, whats the problem? are you positive this is a problem or is that pancake finally getting the air it needs.
  5. That thing is pretty, your not crazy, people think your crazy for not doing what they tell you to.
  6. Wow that thing is rad, and 40 miles range, thats good for a home made electric mobile, great work.
  7. I take offense to that... well actually it is the generation about 2 years behind me that seem to write in their essays with U and ttyl and other crap like that... and I hate texting... it takes forever, and yes I try T9 and it works for crap too!
  8. Haha how about mounting the front seats in the rear mounts? that would give you some more leg room
  9. Make me one too, and while your at it, send me a SAFC for me too!
  10. Im still at a miss as to why we cant just slap on a ej series MAF sensor and go from there.
  11. That thing seems way more complicated than an SAFC. Its fairly cheap though, but I think that for the money an SAFC would be the better one if you had to depend on it. Thanks for the insight though, it makes more options out there known.
  12. Do a wet Compression test now. That will show you if its valve train related, well basically it will tell you if the low value is the rings fault or not.
  13. Anything is possible on any motor, it just requires money and alot of it. I dont know if your local machine shop could do everything, why not just go in there and ask them. Theres a machine shop right by my house that my bro in law took his RS heads to and they assembled the brian crower this and titanium that. Anyways, I dont know where exactly to take them to get them welded up but a machine shop guru should know.
  14. Thank you, thats exactly what I am about! I dont have the cash right now to dump into an EJ, now people would ask "not enough money? its not that expensive" true, but if and when I get an ej engine wether it be in the blueroo I have now, or some Impreza L or somethign like that in the future, I will build it up, and I will build it up right. 165 hp for an EJ25d is great, but not enough for me.
  15. Hey I appreciate all of the support and ideas. When (if ever ) I get this thing made, If it is decent design I will have it ceramic coated, assuming I have the money of course, and I might get header wrap for it and possibly a turbo blanket. I washed the beast today.. Its so nice to have a clean car, although my inside needs to be clean, Im mad at my self for letting it get this dirty . If I do ever get this turbo spooling again, and redo my intercooler setup after that, all in all it should be a quick wagon. Im not asking for much, just a 12 second car :-p
  16. XT hunting we go now..... heh I doubt theres one down here, or one that isnt on its way to the smasher In a turbo charged system you want, and it will always be this way, the turbo to be the largest restriction. I could, and probably will, step the header size up after the merge collector. Idk its a long road ahead.
  17. Actually thats far too big for this engine to spool my turbo.
  18. The Clutch Kit looks fine to me, NTN is a good bearing manufacturer. I doubt youll beat the price. Well, maybe. Go to town!
  19. What I ment by underpressure is meaning, when the system is under boost it leaks. Sorry for the poor terminology
  20. The hardest part about changing an antenna is when you have to route the new wire behind the dash, the mounting of the antenna wont be hard at all.
  21. I wouldnt run in circles, I would do 4 wheel burnouts have you considered what I saied about the exhaust?
  22. Make sure the new old disty has the screw in it.
  23. Generally you would get a socket that fits over the seal perfectly, dont forget to lube it with oil, and gently pound it in. The rear might be a difficult one to find a socket for
  24. Rebuilding starters was one of our competencys or whatever their called at EVIT for auto electrical.
  25. I say headgasket.... Check the water pump weap hole.
