  1. ok then you know of any other places to go for pretty much the same settup.
  2. Subaru_Styles: ok so i go with ground control, with their coil spring, with that top perch. and the ajustable perch is the thing on the bottom with threads so you can raise and lower your car? ^example ok then what shocks/struts do you reccomend?
  3. but see, here lies the problem, i am broke, so im trying to find stock subaru parts that i can score for extremely cheap to lower my car. supradan2001, i know all about suspension, i completly rebuilt my stock suspensin on my 87 firebird formula that i am trying to sell. i got new springs, built sub-frame connectors, and installed many other things like Hotchkis lower control arms, and an ajustable panhard bar. i know suspension, but im learning as much as i can about subaru suspension now.
  4. well ive been told and read a few times that if i run XT front struts and springs i will get a 2 inch drop. then in the rear RX shocks, and XT springs, and everything off a 2wd car. now wouldn't that drop it to where i want it?
  5. so what keep my stock shocks and struts, but just toss on some RX springs on the rear and 2wd XT springs on the front. see i want it lowered ATLEAST 1.5inches on all four, if not 2inches in front. but also, i dont want it to be all mushy in forners and crap, i want them to be stiff when im driving. i want the car to handle, not to be just lowered. but also the problem with just getting shorter springs is that i will bottom out my shocks and struts much easier, which i dont want, thats why i was going to get the shorter XT front struts with 2wd XT springs, then XT 2wd rear springs on RX shocks. that should give me a 2inch drop in the front, and a 1.5 in the rear, which i will be happy with.
  6. no it didn't smoke out the oil cap, but when i had the two crank case hoses hooked together then on the 3rd side of the T i had the filter and it smoked out the filter. now i hooked my driver side crankcase breather tot he PCV hose on the back of the intake, and the passenger side just has the breather on it.
  7. for me it does nothing, if someone could lye it out as Torxxx requested would be grand. im also very intrested in this information. Shean
  8. i was at the JY the otehr day, and found a nice set of grey mazda MX6 seats, i think, they look like racing buckets, and have a whole for like a 5pt harness, i had to do a dukes of hazard to get in, but they are confertable as hell. and for $150 for the pair, i MIGHT go taht way, or get a set of stock honda del sol seats from a buddy for free, if her gets buckets.
  9. off topic but, supradan2001, where in arizona are you located, im moving to glendale in july, be there the first of auguest, maybe we can meet up and if you need help give me a call.
  10. subaru_styles, thanks, thats no problem, just have to track one down now.
  11. the tripple fine steel whool, works wonders for that and cleaning and polishing wheels.
  12. well if GD gets the adapters out then ill buy one from him and toss on the new WRX Momo wheel that came stock on the STi's and WRX's. that would be nice.
  13. well im with Torxxx, i was not asking for an opinion on your views on to do it or not, but rather and how to hook up the PCV system, i was asking a technical question not one for an opinion. and when you stip emissions you gain power because there is less things pulling vacume here, and recirculating hot exhaust there, that it keeps the temperature down in the intake charge.
  14. redlance, thanks a bunch for clearing that up, it makes sence now. ok so i just have to put my filter on one side and hook the other to the PCV barb on the back of the intake.
  15. for the drive line, get the EA82 drive line and take it to driveline specalties in downtown seattle, on like 1st and something else, just commin off the 1st ave bridge stay to the left, and its down on the right a few blocks down. take them the measurments and it should be like $100 for the drive line to be cut and ballanced.
  16. who gives a dam, im 17 and cant draw worth crap but i can fabricate anything. anyways, because the PCV hose is constant vacume it is close to the driver side vent so it would pull more from that then it would pull in clean air, then the passenger sice would be mainly clean air. because of the difference of tube length.
  17. see something like this, wouldn't this work??
  18. thanks for pointing that out and for the picture i talked with Torxxx, and he helps me out alot, and what i decided on doing was to was to just take off that filter i put on and tie that third side of the T into the PCV hose that goes into the intake and that should work. i would prefer to not recycle that junk back into the engine and have it hooked some how to a filter or something then back into he engine, but if you guys say so, then ill toss the filter tomarrow and hook the PCV hose to my crank case settup.
  19. so what, run one hose from, lets say driver side valve cover, the valve cover into the intake where that fitting is that screws into the intake. then just use that filter i just picked up on the passenger side valve cover?? can someone draw me a picture in paint or soemthing, im a total retard.
  20. ya all i did was tie the two valve cover breathers together to one filter, rather then having them return back into the engine via the air intake box. now about the PCV system, can someone please circle in my picture what this is. Thanks, Shean
  21. ya sure bro, ill do that today when i get home from school, if im not going back to the junk yard that it. if i do go to the JY then ill do it when i get home.
  22. cheif tim, so what just run one hose back to the intake, and the other, keep the filter on and it will be fine? Mike W, are you crazy about the A/C, im moving to arizona in july, the hottest darn time of the year, i know your kidding, but HECK NO, a/c is my friend. but you know, i think i should have it chekced to see if it works or not, i still havent done that. it would suck if on the way down it didn't work. lol my luck. Shean
  23. ahh, well i will call everyone i know tomarrow to see what i can get going.
  24. hey just go pick up 2 boxed of the deluxe vacume cap kits, like $2.00 each, trust me, they are worth it, also most of th lines are 5/16's, then the darn 5.8's heater hose for the PCV and exhaust recirculation crap. good luck man.
