Red Sedan Build , solid rear axle
Hmm, this is going to be an interesting project. I am wondering on the rear suspension, Are you gonna use the leafs? or are you some how gonna try and retro-fit the Datsuns axle on to a trailing arm from a 4WD EA82? Take lots of pictures when you get into it -Tom

Oh yea its 45, the fronts on the EA82 are 15. Dunno if that applies to an EA81?

I got a brat!!!
Impossable, Theres no way to fit 31s with a 2" lift with no cutting.. btw, all his 2" lift consist of is, 4 or 6 (2 or 3 per strut tower) 2x2 steel tubing cut with the correct angle for good camber. then for the rear its just 4 (2 per rear shock) peices of 1/4" steel bent at a 15 degree angle (IIRC) with 2 holes in it (Per bracket) for the shock mounting bolts.. Not much diffrent then Scotts kits (Except for the two front lift blocks (One solid peice) instead of individual ones) Jeff, if for some reason I am this wrong then please correct me.. Theres no way this adds up. -Tom

Seafoam works!
Your not wrong, this is the only way I can see it getting to the HLAs and other components. only thing your doing by sucking it thru any air intake is removing and type of dirt and build up thats been cause over the years. and by putting it in the fuel system, its only getting on the valves and injector(s) to eat away varnish from poor quilty fuels. -Tom'

I got a brat!!!
Hahaha yea! I think the most you could fit are 28s and you might still hit going over dips/bumps/speed bumps ect... 27s are your best bet with a 2 incher. -Tom

Seafoam works!
What else you can do is, run it thru the Brake booster hose, let it suck about 1/2 can then shut the car off. let it sit for a few minutes then fire it up again. it'll eat any build up thats in your air ports/hoses. worked good for me. I havn't added it to the oil yet, Might someday. I don't really have a lifter tick (I do have some noise though, I think its a rocker arm with some play in it or maybe a valve) Dunno. I can hear it more clear under the engine. Anyhoo, yes I like Seafoam. Good stuff! -Tom

I'd love to come out to IA in Oct. but I got to much to do before winter comes. I still need to paint my fenders, I have to fix my exhaust, and who knows what else may come up.. Anyhoo, Weekends are a good thing, cause I would leave on a friday after work and drive right to Des Moines, and meet with someone (ask if i can sleep in my car in their Driveway hehe) -Tom PS: I'm always up for B-class roads and service roads!!

How to: Incressing Boxer rumble? (EA82)
Brand new mid-pipe from the dealership, even comes with a full heat sheild now days (Says Subaru on it Hehe) total was like $280 IIRC. plus, it gave the car better pick-up/response and it brang out the deep rumble way more then the cheep replacemet someone used.. Looks like I'm gonna need a new down-pipe/cat section soon. Next year I'm hoping. Cause the passenger side down-pipe cracked off and away from the cat. So I have to braze it this weekend. Its pretty loud and kinda sounds like crap (To much air sound) Still will always sound better then a ricer! My mom likes how it sounds now (Badass) LOL. -Tom
